Lost interest near the middle

This was pretty good to start with but my attention waned somewhere in the middle and wasn't really regained until the falling out at about 85%. I was even skipping the sex scenes...

I liked some of the secondary characters, the Queen for one. She was fun, especially the verbal sparring with Nicholas at times. Everyone else was kinda blah.

I'm not sure if I'll be reading the next book.

Close to the Knives: A Memoir of Disintegration

"Published just before he died of AIDS, Wojnarowicz’s memoir is a classic of outlaw literature and political fury. Wojnarowicz — who was a great artist as well as writer — wheels through his wickedly difficult childhood, the deaths of friends and lovers, great sex writing, thoughts about art, screeds against the likes of Jesse Helms, all the while facing down his own imminent demise. It’s sad, funny, angry and transporting, a kaleidoscope on fire."

"This book will be relevant forever: if you re-read it at various points in your life, every time it means something different to you, but it always feels fresh. In it, Warhol shares his musings on topics such as love, sex, money, underwear, and beauty, among others. So much of what he says is so simple and yet so powerful. I admire his ability to be at once superficial and profound."

Unlike the other short M/M book I've read today, I didn't particularly enjoy this one. It started good but I lost interest once things started heating up between out decorator and gardener. It just didn't grab me, it was all sex with no feelings...maybe I'm being unfair by comparing it to the one I like better earlier, but that's the way I'm feeling right now.

I won't be continuing the series.

Aww, what a sweet little tale.

I liked both characters from the beginning; the way they bounced insults back and forth and loved it, not taking anything personally. The attraction was there for both of them but they fought against it and in the end she became his way out of the tabloid-attack he was currently under.

I liked the relationship build-up: antagonism to sex to proper relationship.

I just really liked it.

DNF@82%.

I've given up. I can't go on.

it started okay and then just went on at an okay rate but the more sex scenes I had to read the more downhill it went. I'm not the biggest fan of m/m/m any way but I quite like the idea of master falling for slave so I downloaded this off ARe quite a while ago.

Not quite why I was expecting.

With a lot of erotic romances I've read they seem to concentrate more on the sex but with this collection, it had a fair amount of romance in it too.

I cant say I had a particular favourite of the three but I did like how we met the character of book 2 in book 1 and the character from book 3 in book 2, if you know what I mean.
