I was slightly disappointed in this book - I think I had way too many high hopes and was a bit let down. I thought each of the MC were slightly annoying - though I do like Tanners friend a lot - The story was great and the concept was cool I just think it fell a bit short for me.

Past its best before date
After a very funny 5th and 6th films in the Pie franchise this takes a total nose dive. It looks so low budget, short on ideas and humour. With a new angle again with a new cast, except a small role for Eugene Levy as usual, it doesn't feel like the other films.

Roxanne (13 KP) rated Not Microwave Safe: A Halloween Story in Books

This was a fun short story with a few good twists and turns to keep the reader interested. I found it both funny and creepy as I really liked the characters but I absolutely hate clowns. I would say this is more a comedy than a horror but I'm still going to shelve it as horror because...clowns.
New binge watch
Great series. Had me binge watching like mad. The storyline wasn't too predictable and the characters are given semi detailed back stories and progression. Similar concept to others but love the way this has been done. Obviously has been dubbed into English but after a short time you don't notice

Katey Bassett (610 KP) rated The Balcony in Books

I won this book on a Goodreads Giveaway and I didn’t realize it was a collection of short stories all connected by one place. There were some quotes that really struck a chord with me, however, overall I really felt it was hard to get into some of the stories and connect with some of the characters.

Man, this was REALLY intense and scary for me.
I wish it was a little shorter and that the book moved along at a quicker pace (story-wise) but it was a suspenseful and intriguing read. Add that together + a lackluster ending and you get an exciting book that falls short of something a little more thought out.

**This book is NOT for kids!** Likely Stories in an interesting graphic novel. There are four odd short stories in the book, each a little more twisted than the others in various ways. It's an interesting read, if you're a Neil Gaiman fan, or if you're looking for a very adult graphic novel that isn't about superheroes.

Brilliant! I
I really enjoyed this but it was just way too short of a season.
It's fantasy that I have never seen before and what makes it even better is how it includes many of the everyday things we all read about, see, experience etc, such as racism, sexism, etc.
I can to wait for season 2

EmersonRose (320 KP) rated Witch & Wizard (Witch & Wizard, #1) in Books

Witch and Wizard is a fun story that felt like a cross between Harry Potter and Hunger Games. The modern wizard magic discovery meets apocalyptic government takeover. The story was short but fun and filled with lots of magic. The main characters were interesting and strong. I also really liked that Elijah Wood was one of the narrators.
I am a huge Christopher Paolini fan as I grew up on the Eragon books. I am stoked that he is writing in that world again. I found these three short stories to be fun and a cool way to explore the world. I also definitely squealed every time we got to see any of the old characters!
