Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)
Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)

Let me start of by saying Spider-Man: No Way Home is a true cinematic experience. In terms of the MCU, it's a fully fledged event movie, but it's one that had the screen I was in, cheering and clapping. I haven't seen that in a long long time.

I'll keep this fairly short as to not dive into spoiler territory. NWH manages to serve as many things. It's a fantastic third entry into Jon Watts Spider-Man trilogy. It's a story that really puts Peter Parker through the mill. The last two have been very fun adventures. This one feels like it has consequences, and has much heavier plot beats than before.
It's also a unabashed love letter to the past Spider-Man film franchises, with familiar villains pouring in from all corners. The respect this film shows to the narratives and characters of the past films is air tight, whilst poking fun at sillier elements, and even a few memes that have surfaced over the years.
It's also an extremely important chapter in the wider MCU narrative, dealing with the multiverse, and essentially setting up Doctor Strange 2. Needless to say, it feels that Phase 4 is truly in full swing.
It's brimming with wonderful character moments (I definitely nearly cried), thrilling set pieces, and it's pacing sees it's hefty runtime fly by.

No Way Home is nothing short of excellent. An exciting new step for the MCU, a veritable treat for fans of the older films, and is a triumph in every sense of the word. One of those movies that I wish I could experience for the first time again.

Not so incredible
I'm usually a huge fan of Disney pixar but honestly this film fell short for me. The first two thirds of the film I found rather slow. The plot was predictable. The only relationship or interest I found was Jack Jack powers and then later Edna interactions with Jack Jack and his powers I was also disappointed with Disney not putting strobe warning in the state for the first week and a half of the films release. I have several friend who suffer from epilepsy and had UK got the same time as us and not had warning I dread to think what would of happens. For me this was safe I fly middle of the road nothing to write home about.

Remake/reimagining of the 1981 original, I remember the big thing about this at the time as the special effects. Or, rather, the post-production 3D effects added released, as this was, only a few short years after James Cameras na exceptional 'Avatar'. Whereas 'Avatar', however, was filmed specifically in and for 3D, this film owes more of a debt to the older 1980s 3D films: watching this in 2D it's quite obvious to see what scenes were added specifically for the effects (I'm thinking mainly of the attack of the giant scorpions, or the Kraken at the end),

Starring Sam Worthingon - whatever happened to him? - as Perseus, the plot of this obviously takes inspiration from Greek myths, even down to having Liam Neeson playing the part of Zeus himself, and of the Pegasus.

Cobra Kai Season 2
Season 2 of Cobra Kai continues the story right where season 1 ended. This season held a stronger emphasis on the students turning Danny and Johnny's rivalry story into the catalyst of the kids' new rivalries.

This season also brings a few new characters in the form of new students. It also brings us a new rival for Daniel's Daughter Samantha in the form of Tory, played by Peyton List.

Season 2 has plenty of fights as the students' Dojo's continue to be at odds with each other just as Daniel and Johnny's relationships fluctuate throughout the season. Not to mention the looming presence of Johnny's old Sensei Kreese, who has plans of his own.

While I enjoyed Season 2, it did fall short of the first season. Its re-use of certain story lines from the films was, I felt, not necessary. It's nice to have the nostalgia connections to the films, but I thought it pulled away from the original story we were getting in season 1.

The season culminates with an all out brawl, although I question the location and how long it carried on for based on that location (I don't want to spoil it for you). The shocking ending for several characters still makes me look forward to where it will go in season 3.

Overall another solid season from Cobra Kai and a good watch!

Misses important parts from the books so feels rushed.
It's alright.
I am one of those that actually enjoyed the books. Take THEM scenes away and I kind of love the story. Despite not being written great, I still looked forward to the films like everyone else.
This one is alright and I'll watch it again but it's so forced. Jamie Doran seems to have the same 3 Expressions in this film, he doesn't use his limited dialogue to the best he could have done it's just monotone and said because it's an actor saying his lines not the character talking like it should be.
Some forced comedy, which was probably forced from lack of enthusiasm from the cast and the deviation from the books. In the books theres some genuinely sweet, funny moments which in the films just feel wrong.
Dakota Johnson gets a bit more range in this and tries but honestly i think the fault lies with poor direction.
Scenes that are so important to the plot are cut short and really important story lines have been completely cut out the franchise which is why i much prefer the books.

Read online somewhere that the two didn't feel comfortable with the sex scenes and that they felt forced.
It probably didn't help that portions of the plot was rewrote whilst filming.
1st was ok, second felt forced didn't bother with the 3rd.

It really does annoy me because they could have made a fantastic film. It should have been sweet, raunchy, sexy, funny and full of twists and turns. Instead we saw actors in it for the pay cheque not bringing a worldwide best selling book to the screens.
