Well 2019 Airdrie Film Festival is over. Time to start planing on 2020. If you are a film maker and want to know how to submit a short film let me know. We start accepting international films in January. We had over 300 films submitted this year.

Though not a box office success, the consensus is that this film is nothing short of extraordinary. Edgar Wright is nearly flawless with how he goes about making his films.

Nice idea
Most pixar films blow you away with the details of the animation, characters, story and voice cast. This just felt a bit short in every aspect compared to some of their recent films. One more for younger kids.

A great collection of 7 stories
This is an excellent collection of short psychological horror stories written by Nicholas Vince, who is mostly known for playing The Chatterer cenobite in the original Hellraiser films.

Past its best before date
After a very funny 5th and 6th films in the Pie franchise this takes a total nose dive. It looks so low budget, short on ideas and humour. With a new angle again with a new cast, except a small role for Eugene Levy as usual, it doesn't feel like the other films.

"Such a tremendous collection. It’s fascinating to see how Eric Rohmer translates his own short stories into these films. His work with Nestor Almendros is so beautiful and simple, and the films are such profound and witty examinations of self-deception. Because I’ve been greedy in choosing these, I haven’t allowed myself to choose The Adventures of Antoine Doinel."
