Bong Mines Entertainment (15 KP) rated Teenage Tears - Single by Mia Mi in Music

“Teenage tears you cry all these years. Well, they got you here, so just trust that you’ll be okay. Now she got a little confidence. Things that didn’t, starting to make sense. She can make a change just go see what’s next.” – lyrics
‘Teenage Tears’ contains a relatable storyline, ear-welcoming vocals, and lush instrumentation scented with danceable pop aroma.
“And now you know it’s so good to be different. Break out the bucks you ain’t got no limits. Just give it time, you will learn it in a minute.” – lyrics
Mia Mi’s music is a mixture between Ariana Grande and Mabel. At the age of 10, she won a local singing competition.
Shortly afterward, she enrolled at London’s Centre for Young Musicians and then graduated from the critically acclaimed Brit School.
After fulfilling her educational duties, she released cover videos of popular songs via her YouTube channel.
Since then, her debut single, “Talk To Me”, has been added to 30 playlists on Spotify and has amassed over 120K streams.
Emma @ The Movies (1786 KP) rated Status Update (2018) in Movies
Sep 25, 2019
My mum asked me what I'd seen this month and so we went through the list with a brief description of the ones she hadn't heard of. When I got to this one... "It's so much fun, you'd hate it, dad would love it." Mum will watch a lot of things, but daft humour isn't really one of them. Dad and I are all over them though.
I would totally abuse an app that made my status updates come true... of course I'd want to check that it didn't apply things retroactively, and that I could dial my sarcasm back a lot to protect myself from worse self afflicted issues than happen in the film.
It's a fun diversion, a feel good film that has clearly been trying to tick all the boxes on what makes people go to the cinema... bit of wacky mystery, some singing and dancing, a bitchy gay... it's got all the things we love.

Awix (3310 KP) rated Hello Down There (1969) in Movies
May 10, 2020
The list of people involved in this movie might lead one to expect something at least mildly interesting: Jack Arnold made many interesting SF B-movies, one of which (Creature from the Black Lagoon) featured co-director Browning in the title role; the cast list includes Randall, Leigh, Dreyfuss, and Roddy McDowell. And yet it feels almost aggressively anodyne and bland, horribly calculated, and made to TV-standard production values. Even when it was made this probably only appealed to the most undemanding viewers; nowadays it exerts a weird fascination if only as a relic of an unrecognisable sensibility.
