[One Came Home] by [Amy Timberlake] is a highly acclaimed book. I really liked the historic aspects. I did not know people hunted pigeons. Also the character of Georgie is a strong, headed individual. I just felt the first half of the book was like a soap opera. I wanted more details about events and less about the relationship muddle of her sister. I like my historic fiction to have more history.

I enjoy this era a bit. I kept interest in WWII. I also like the way this book went about differently and how things got complicated between the father and mother of the book. I also like how a romance happened between a white soldier and a black soldier sister. You learn about some of the things going on Civil Rights. You see it though his daughters, their mothers. It really is a good book.

If you didn't like the Last Jedi, I definitely don't recommend this book. This is a sort of introduction/slight backstory for Rose and her sister (whatever the chick's name is). I disliked Rose in the film, as I felt she served zero purpose, other than creating some lame love triangle. This book made me dislike her even more.
I don't blame the author, she had sh-- characters to deal with.

I truly fell that his it a good read. You learn about Lydia youngest sister Ruthie and Lydia struggles. You may to start crying while reading this book. I now I did. I felt like i was a part of the story myself. We also meet the Kauffman's Family.
We meet some of the Kauffman Family member from the Kauffman's Amish Bakery series. This story is about the Elizabeth and Eli granddaughter Lydia Bontrager.

Chris Hooker (419 KP) rated Add Romance and Mix in Books

This is an incredibly sweet next door neighbor romance with an age gap. I loved the awkwardness of Brinley. I think she embodies all of us slightly nerdy, unsure of ourself people. Leah was not as deep but fit the role well. I also liked Kat, Brinley's sister, she was the snarky one. This story lends itself to be continued because all the characters can grow. I hope to see a sequel, perhaps a series.

This book has it all, a little romance, some suspense, and quite a bit "I never saw that coming". It is a combination cozy mystery and suspense/romance, which makes it a great book for all three genres of readers. This story entwines the lives of Libby, her sister Mia, the couple that helped Libby through a horrible time in her life, and Rebecca a mother trying to understand what happened to her daughter.

Brilliant film with really good actors this cheesy comedy/horror is a guilty pleasure of mine. Brother and sister are involved in an accident that they soon find out was caused by a werewolf, this is no ordinary werewolf once scratch or bite by the creature and there life's suddenly change. Now in danger they must find who it was to stop the same thing happening to them.
Definitely worth a watch.
