Well, we all know by now that I like a slow burn, and The Sirens delivers on that. I enjoyed the flashbacks to the Irish sisters being transported to Australia in the 1800’s, and indeed their story prior to this - along with the reason behind the modern day timeline.

Nature, the sea and the landscape of New South Wales all play a major role in this book, and the descriptions were so evocative. As someone who has never been to Australia, I was able to imagine the setting of this story.

The relationship between the sisters is a strange one: the older sister, Jess, seems very disconnected from her younger sister, doesn’t stay in touch, and when Lucy arrives unannounced at her house, Jess isn’t there. The house is in a state, and no-one knows where she is.

I really enjoyed the 1800 timeline: the oppression of the Transportation ship, the sisters, and their ending was *chef’s kiss* (I’m not saying 🤐).

A book of male violence and manipulation, and an interesting way to deal with it! I enjoyed this, but I do think it could be a marmite book (I like marmite).

This is only my 2nd Baldacci book and I must say I am hooked! This one has sisters as its main characters. Beth Perrywho happens to be D.C.'s cheif of police and her sister Mace who is a former cop, but just got out of prison. The characters are well developed and interesting without being over the top...a Baldacci hallmark. The plot was fast paced and unpredictable. The story was wrapped up nicely, but still leaves you wanting more, but in a good way.
Ireally look forward to delving further into Baldacci's works.

I devoured this 4 star read in less than 24 hours. Oh my God. The emotional journey that Hannah took me on was one of phenomenal proportions.

Her characters are beautifully woven together and weaved into the plot line at just the right times, making the reader fall in love with each and every one of them, good or bad.

I have my sister, Mary Fields Jackson, to thank for hooking me on this one! I can't wait to dive into another book by this incredible author. Definitely recommend this one!

In the wake of a failed rebellion in Galilee, we join several pilgrams to Jerusalem. The first in 9 year old Jude and his younger sister, recent orphans. The second is 12 year old Yeshua. What will happen when they all get there? Even though the story was familiar, I got drawn in by the characters. Unfortunately, I didn't like how they ended the book at all.

Josie Prescott is upset when her friend Rosaline is murdered. Was she murdered because of her tangled love life? Or was it because of the secret treasure she told her teenage sister about? Josie is stronger emotionally then she's been in previous entries in the series, and the story moves along quite well. I wish I could have read it faster because I was enjoying it.

Amazing WWII story (2 more)
Full of suspense
Did not expect ending
Kristin Hannah has truly captured the chaotic and no-so-perfect sister relationship. Being the oldest of three girls I can relate to this love/hate relationship between the two sisters. How life can lead everyone in different roads but at the end family is the one thing that will always bring you back. No matter what happens family will disappoint, bring you down, and build you up, all at the same time. Cannot wait to read more books by this author.

Good start.
This intrested me from the begining just wish their wasnt a love triangle i kind of hoped that for once a girl and boy could just be friends.

It was the realtionship that derk had with in himself and the small parts with his twin sister that kept me reading.

That being said i would read more specailly for a hoilday book where you dont have to concerate to much and can just put the book down when you need to and get back to without have to refesh your memory.

I read this for the first time only a month after reading the whimsical romp that was ‘The Prisoner of Azkaban’. It was lovely and funny....that is until the World Cup, at which point I thought ‘well that escalated quickly’.

Another reason that I am grateful to my sister for keeping on at me for trying HP again. Funny, exciting and very moving. Loving this series immensely.

Btw Amos Diggory is a p**k and is it bad that I kind of agree with Barty Crouch for what he did to Winky?

A suspenseful thriller from American author Harlan Coben, released a few years ago but this is a good Ôstand aloneÕ story that will introduce you to the dark world of gritty crime that he writes so well.
The central character, Paul Copeland, is the County Prosecutor of Essex, New Jersey. Twenty years ago his sister, and three other teenagers, disappeared from a summer camp and now ÔCopeÕ finds himself embroiled in a case that may provide some answers to their disappearance. A great thriller with plenty of interesting characters and plot twists.
