WHEN THE WIND CHIMES is a light, contemporary read with low angst and lots of warm feel-good feelings attached to it.
I did find the blurb to be slightly confusing as Kaitlyn (Kate) did not come across as heartbroken. She was sad at the death of her brother-in-law, upset for her sister and nephew, and annoyed with her ex-boyfriend. Heartbroken though? No.
She goes to Hawai'i for Christmas as it is the first one her sister will have without her husband. Whilst there, she has two job interviews that come to nothing but does land a job looking after a little girl who is one of her nephew's classmates.
The angst in the book mainly revolves around whether or not Lee actually likes her or if he just sees her as his child's temporary nanny. There is some mention of what it is like to lose a husband or sibling and the impact that has on the family left behind.
All in all, this was a sweet read with a seasonal setting.

Clearing Emma’s Friend of Murder
Both Emma and Matthias are on leave from their jobs to recover from their injuries, so when Emma’s best friend, Eric, calls saying that Emma’s drug addict sister, Nell, has come home, Emma and Matthias take off to help. But it isn’t long before Emma’s sister gives them the slip again, and the developer who is trying to get his hands on Emma’s family property turns up murdered. With Eric the prime suspect and Matthias well outside his jurisdiction, can he help? Or will his efforts make things worse for everyone?
Since this book picks up right after the previous book, there are references to the events of that book but no blatant spoilers. Emma may be a bit more in the spotlight here, but Matthias still gets a chance to shine as well. I also enjoyed getting to know Eric and Nell better as well as meet some great new characters. I did find one of the subplots a bit weak. But the main mystery was great and kept me guessing until we reached the suspenseful climax. As always, this is a police procedural, so adjust your expectations when you pick it up. Annette Dashofy continues to write great books. If you aren’t reading her, you are missing out.

Totally unnecessary sequel
The original Blair Witch film was a little overrated but fairly original and not entirely bad. Sadly this sequel doesn't even match this standard and really didn't need to be made. The plot starts off fairly irrationally with the main character believing that his sister (from the first film) is still alive 17 years later... and it doesn't get much better from there. The real scares are virtually non-existent and it just gets very stupid with lots of silly loud noises. Character development is lacking and the whole film is very underwhelming. Yet another below average found footage film.

Reluctantly obsessed
My sister likes to subject me to cheesy af TV shows in the vein of paranormal romance. This was one of her choices and I hate to admit that this show doesn't completely suck. It is undoubtedly cheesy af, and the two main characters (Scott and Allison) aren't nearly as fantastic as the supporting cast (Stiles and Danny and Coach and Lydia) but at least I can distract myself by blissfully staring at the multitude of sculpted abs!

My Moms’ DIY Gay Wedding
Abertalli just keeps fleshing out this web of relationships she has created, starting with her novel Simon Vs. the Homosapian Agenda. In this installment of the not-a-series series, Molly Peskin-Suso is struggling with the possibility of rejection, her relationship with her twin sister, and planning her moms’ wedding in under three months! It was refreshing to see the event that we are leading up to in a realistic YA novel be a gay wedding and not a prom.

Boring and cliche
Pet Semetary has great source material but I think in today's world of the walking dead, zombie _____, etc, this is not a scary movie. No real ambience is established and we only care about the characters because they are an "average family". Ultimately bad things happen and I didnt even care. No emotional attachment built at all. Could have been so much better if more time spent on them as a family and more on their dreams/issues. The stuff with wifes sister was great but father was 1 dimensional

This is another loving book for young reader. The Bear family go on an adventure and explore what the Harvest festival. This is their first one and new tradition. You can see their community. You enjoy the adventure.The pictures can tell the story and goes along with it. Your children learn along the way with it. It great for beginner readers. The pictures are quite nicely down and you can enjoy the pictures and so can young children.The book does teach about the festival and teamwork and community. It is a sweet book and you do see Brother and Sister's little sister Honey.

Maggie is dropped in Nazi Germany to plant a bug in her mother's house - the mother she thought was dead. But along the way, she'll meet her half sister and get caught up in the horrors of Germany in 1941. As always with the series, I was pulled into another time and place with very real characters while I was reading. A few flaws (same ones as the two previous in the series), but for the most part I enjoyed this book.

Enjoyed it a lot

Back when this trilogy first came out, I read it all in a few days because I loved it. It got kind of ruined by all the hype and movies in my opinion though just like Twilight got ruined with the movies and all too.
This trilogy is awesome although I don’t agree with who Katniss ends up with - I was for Gale and still am. It also crushed me when things happened with her sister and other characters in the story line, but that’s also why it was such a great trilogy.
