Michael Myers is back!
The night he came home......again
Contains spoilers, click to show
Remember all those Halloween sequels (there's a fair few) well scrap them as this is Halloween 2 (strictly speaking the 3rd Halloween 2)

After that night in 1979 Michael Myers was captured, subdued and put in an asylum (coz that worked so well before). How on earth he got captured is beyond me but anyway go with it.
2 internet bloggers/vloggers want to write up a story on Michael and go visit him. I mean why not he's definitely known for his very chatty nature isnt he....oh and while there take his mask I'm sure he'll love that.

Inevitably Michael escapes and once more begins his pursuit of Laurie Strode (who isnt his sister). Cue tension, that musical score and many gruesome deaths.

An ending that is similar to home alone and that you would 100% confirm the end of Myers.......but this is Hollywood, the film made money and a new Halloween has been confirmed (is it Halloween 2 or 3 now)

Small town Georgia, big time gruesome crime thriller!!!
Hard to believe this was Karin Slaughters first novel, it’s very well rounded for a debut.

When a young college professor is brutally murdered (and I mean BRUTALLY - i.e. not for the squeamish) it falls to Sara Linton as the town coroner to perform the disturbing autopsy. Having found the victim in the local diner, it soon becomes obvious to Sara that there is a seriously sick individual on the loose.

It’s Sara’s ex-husband, police chief Jeffrey Tolliver, who must head up the investigation along with the only female detective Lena Adams, who is also the victims sister (love small town America everyone is all up in each others stuff - did I mention as well as been the towns coroner Sara is also the local paediatrician….) When another victim is found crucified the tension to find the killer builds, as does the tension between characters.

This book was very graphic, but boy was it entertaining in a disturbing way. Fast paced with plenty of suspense, a great beginning to a series.

What Pet Should I Get?

When a brother and a sister arrive in a pet shop to pick out a new pet, they are faced with so many wonderful choices. Will they pick a dog, a cat…or something more exotic?

You can tell that Dr. Seuss didn’t think this was his best work and that’s why he gave up on it. The rhymes are almost there, but they aren’t as good as some of his books. Same with the rhythm of the lines. By the time we get to some of Seuss’s trademark imaginary creatures (and there are only two of them), they feel forced into the book. Never mind the fact that we never answer the title question. Fortunately, the illustrations live up to the Seuss name. It’s not a bad book, but it’s not one to rush out and buy, either, which is what I suspected before picking it up.

Destination wedding planner Kelsey McKenna thinks she’s seen everything at a wedding. That’s why, when one of the bridesmaids collapses at the end of the ceremony she thinks the woman is just hung over. Imagine her surprise when she realizes that Dana is dead. When the police arrest the bride’s sister for the crime, the mother of the bride insists that Kelsey has a duty to free her younger daughter. Can Kelsey figure out who the killer is?

I feel in love with this book in the very first chapter, and I was not at all disappointed as I kept reading. The plot is fast paced with plenty of twists along the way to a surprising yet logical conclusion. The characters are sharp. A few are a tad over the top, but that adds to the fun and humor of the mystery. I will definitely be attending Kelsey’s future weddings.

This story keep my interest but it did not take my heart to want to a point where I was wanting to know to What going to happen next. I will say this it is good read and a Christmas story to itself. I hope it was meant to stand alone. Just my thought because I liked does not meant it will be for you it up to you to decide.

In the beginning of the story, Caleb and his daughter Susie (Susan) are coming to visit Caleb family. Susie want to stop at the market to get a pie or something to take to her Aunt Sadie's place. They stop in the farmer market. Susie run to a quilt stand and starts talking to Naomi King.

The Kauffmans are some what talked about though out the book. Though most of the story is around Caleb, Susie and Naomi along with a snip of Kaffuman family. It centered around the Christmas season. You see Caleb's sister side of the story as well and try to match her brother up with Irene Wranger.

If Buffy grew up and moved to the wild west
I stumbled across this show on Netflix and almost immediately fell in love.

Wynonna Earp is a hard drinking, hard living 27 year old. She's the black sheep and the town fuck-up. She's spent years avoiding her family and her responsibilities, but when she finally returns to her home town of Purgatory, she finds that she can't outrun the family curse.

Now, if she ever hopes to break the curse and save her family, she must battle the seventy seven revenants of the Ghost River Triangle and send them back to hell. But at least she doesn't have to do it alone.

If you've been dying to find an at least decently written fantasy/supernatural TV show with witty dialogue and compelling relationships, this one is definitely for you.

Also if you're like me and will watch anything that has adorable and fully fleshed out lesbian relationships, this one is also for you. Wynonna's younger sister Wavery and the dashing town deputy are SO GAY in the BEST possible way.

One of midwife Sarah Brandt’s clients goes into early labor due to the shock of learning her sister was murdered. Knowing that the killer will never be caught, Sarah begins to investigate, enlisting police sergeant Frank Malloy to help her. The victim spent her evenings with a variety of men, so the suspect list is quite long. Are there too many suspects, or can Sarah and Frank find the killer?

This book does a fabulous job of taking us back to the summer of 1896 in New York City and introducing us to girls who would give out favors in exchange for nice things they couldn’t afford on their salaries. That adds a somber note to the book; one that gives it depth. The characters are equally deep, and I loved seeing Sarah and Frank move forward in their personal lives. I did figure out a twist or two early, but the book kept surprising me until the end.

This story is a new beat on an old tune. The story follows Will and Julia and their journey on finding the light in life even when all you hold dear is taken away. Will is living on the dark side. He doesn’t care who he hurts he lives for the next drop of fresh blood. Julia has lost her whole family and everyone is just waiting for her to explode. They meet when Celia Will's sister begs him to come home.
At times this book was very long winded. I enjoyed the plot and the characters. I felt that a lot of the conversations were unnecessary. It was very slow and when the climax happened I wasn’t excited.
With that being said I gave it 4 stars because I liked her characters and how they learned from mistake and forgave each other. The ending was very mysterious hinting at something more. It was a story on how no matter your pain you can always find your way back with the help of love.

Well, I’m pretty disappointed with this one. The start was slow, but intriguing. Then about half way through the novel the author starts dropping pretty obvious clues about how the whole problem will be explained in the end, making the climax…well…anticlimactic.

Once you get to the end, the resolution just feels a bit condescending, especially from the perspective of an adult who is an experienced reader. While kids may not have as much life experience or experience with how a plot develops, I really object to treating them like they are stupid and can’t figure things out.

Along with the simplistic plot, the only character that feels fully developed is the narrator and another character’s little sister. The other three major players in the story feel very flat until the author decided to completely change him/her without any warning.

Overall, the book was frustrating to read, especially toward the end. I was left wondering how Shulman went so wrong with such a great topic and premise.

I thought the story in general of The Favorite Sister had lots of promise! But it was just too much all over the place. Telling us Brett was dead in the beginning did nothing for me. It would have been a better shocker at the end to know that Stephanie had died, and Brett a surprise death. It just wasn't necessary to do all the back and for now and then. It made the book confusing, it was hard to keep track of where we were in the story and also who's story we were following. I didn't know who was talking, since they were all just really vain horrible people, their voices all seemed similar. This made it difficult to relate or identify with any character, let alone like them or keep track of them! I found that even in Luckiest Girl Alive, I had trouble even liking ONE character. I liked Brett at first, but then slowly hated her towards the end. Maybe just throw in ONE likeable character in your books! Just throw us a bone!
