A transformers film that everyone can enjoy. (2 more)
It actually fits in as a prequel to the first transformers.
Actually made me smile, a feel good film!
Pleasantly surprised
Firstly, thank you Smashbomb for my free Bumblebee DVD!
I was sceptical with yet ANOTHER transformers film, but after seeing it happens before Sam Witwicky met bumblebee i felt like it was worth a shot!
It doesn't follow the same pattern as the other installments of the franchise (in a good way) it's actually got some heart behind the story. Theres action but not too much, enough of a build up to set in motion what happens in Transformers 1.
I love how they showed what happened to bumblebees voice, how he found his Camero alias and how his relationship with Humans managed to become so good. It was a prequel that was made as if it was actually made before the first, like all prequels should be (but unfortunately it's not always the case). It doesn't create anymore questions, start new, never to be finished storylines, it was a straight forward set up.
I honestly thought I'd have another flop on my hands but genuinely enjoyed it and would watch it again.
I didn't feel as though it was another stab at a worn out franchise either, it was fresh and heart warming, a movie in it's own right. Someone could come in completely new to Transformers and the whole world it has created and fall in love with it from this, like I said, it fits in perfectly.
Definitely recommend guys, it's actually a lovely action film!

What happens when prophecy comes knocking on your door?

The next heart-pounding instalment in Mason Sabre's Paranormal and Urban Fantasy, Society Series, Stephen Davies has been sentenced to death ...

Everyone knows that being exiled is as good as a death sentence. Even worse when you are the son of the Alpha ...

Former ruler of his own domain and warrior for his father's pack, Stephen Davies is one of the fiercest tiger shifters the Other world has ever known. A legend in his own right, he has earned both the respect of his own kind, and the fear of the Humans.
In Exile, however, all is different ...

Stephen has barely arrived in this God forsaken place when the bus he is on is stopped and attacked by a creature he has never seen before. She's there to rescue him, but her actions cast Stephen into an unravelling new world. Not only does he find himself in unexpected places with the strangest people, but his tiger seems to think he has found the one true thing he has been looking for ...

A mate.

The only problem is that someone is hunting Stephen, and they don't care who they hurt to get to him.

Nice little catch up with Stephen and finally discovering his powers. Love the new characters and the children are intriguing I wonder what daddy alpha would have made him do especially half human ones! I’m really enjoying this series and this one didn’t disappoint.

What's the saying: keep your friends close and your enemies closer?

Guess I'm about to find out just how difficult that really is. I might have my best friend back but his safety and that of my chosen family depends on me doing something I vowed never to do.
Join Camden's crew.
Thing is, you don't turn down the leader of Hackney's Hackers and then get a second chance without forfeiting something in return. The relationships I was just starting to build, is that too high of a price?
Sonny with his joking nature and dimples.
Ford with his mysterious dominance and protective instinct.
Eastern with his unyielding loyalty and feeling of home.
This term at Oceanside Academy, my sanity will be pushed to the limit as I walk the fine line between friend and foe. All I know is this better be worth it because I'm about to learn something important about myself. I was happy being a delinquent, but a reject... ? Not so much.

Loved it!! Better than the first one and I enjoyed that! The story is developing and becoming more thrilling although I had the cliffhanger pegged from the start. I’d have tho by now that some of the characters would start grating on me but they aren’t the one you want to see dealt with is Monk that dude has it coming! Really good reverse harem too as it’s built nicely to this point. Definitely recommend.

Anna of Kleve: Queen of Secrets ( Six Tudor Queens book 4)
By Alison Weir

Once read a review will be written via Smashbomb and link posted in comments

Newly widowed and the father of an infant son, Henry VIII realizes he must marry again to ensure the royal succession. Forty-six, overweight, and suffering from gout, Henry is soundly rejected by some of Europe's most eligible princesses. Anna of Kleve, from a small German duchy, is twenty-four, and has a secret she is desperate to keep hidden. Henry commissions her portrait from his court painter, who depicts her from the most flattering perspective. Entranced by the lovely image, Henry is bitterly surprised when Anna arrives in England and he sees her in the flesh. Some think her attractive, but Henry knows he can never love her.

What follows is the fascinating story of an awkward royal union that somehow had to be terminated. Even as Henry begins to warm to his new wife and share her bed, his attention is captivated by one of her maids-of-honor. Will he accuse Anna of adultery as he did Queen Anne Boleyn, and send her to the scaffold? Or will he divorce her and send her home in disgrace? Alison Weir takes a fresh and astonishing look at this remarkable royal marriage by describing it from the point of view of Queen Anna, a young woman with hopes and dreams of her own, alone and fearing for her life in a royal court that rejected her almost from the day she set foot on England’s shore.

Just what I needed
When Smashbomb did a giveaway for the Tile Pro, I knew I needed to enter it! I've always wanted to try Tile, but I've always been a little cautious. I never knew if I would use it so I just never bought it. I've been using this device every day since I got it to be able to give it a full review.

The Tile Pro is very sleek looking, I love the black and silver look, and I like that it isn't giant. It fits well on my keys and even worked well on my dog's collar (though it was a little big) when we traveled to Utah last month.

The device worked well. I never really had too many issues, and every time I lost my keys, I could get my phone to find them for me. I haven't tested the Bluetooth range, but I've been pleasantly surprised with how well it has worked so far. I love that it can both help me find my keys (where my tile pro is currently located) and my phone as well. I'm horrible with losing my phone in the house, so it is nice to be able to click the button twice on the tile and have it ring my phone.

The only issue I have had with the Tile is that it does change the tune occasionally. I had a fun Cat tune that would play when locating my phone, it now (without warning) represents a different tune.

All in all, I think this device is a smart purchase, and I would recommend it to anyone who loses their phone or their keys in their house.

First off, I want to say how cute this little Instax camera is. It's definitely trendy enough. While it is a mini camera, it is quite bulky still compared to digital cameras from back in the day.

I found it easy enough to load the film (which can get quite expensive to buy). Most of the instructions were clear although it came with some round things, and I'm still not sure what those are supposed to be.

Picture quality isn't that great unless you get pretty close up. However, it does remind me of the picture quality you'd get from taking pics in the 90s when taking them from a closer up range.

This camera includes a selfie mode unlike it's predecessor. You just mess with the front lens bit, and viola, you have selfie mode. The picture quality of that was about the same as the up close photos.

The flash does work great, and for the price, this is a decent little camera. It also holds up to the rough and tumble of everyday life. In fact, I put mine in my bag and forget it's there a lot of the time, so there's plenty of bumps along the way for it.

I think this would be a great camera for those aged between 8 - 14 who want an easy and affordable camera that takes real pictures instead of digital ones. I think the 14+ crowd would enjoy it too, but I feel like that's the age group that would get the most enjoyment from it the most. For a fairly cheap camera, it gets the job done while looking cute!

(I received this camera for free from Smashbomb in a giveaway in exchange for a fair and unbiased review.)

Walters Rifle ( Haunted Collection book 2)
By Ron Ripley

Once read a review will be written via Smashbomb and link posted in comments

The gleaming muzzle of a rifle burns with an insatiable desire, and its new owner is all too happy to comply....

Haunted items are traversing the country, and their ghosts are wreaking havoc on their new owners. At the center of the chaos is an old rifle possessed by a blood-thirsty specter, who dreams of massacres at every turn. Meanwhile, lurking in a nearby mailbox is an antique novel possessed by a monster who takes pleasure in agonizing, heart-stopping torture.

Stefan Korzh's plan is unraveling flawlessly, and he can't imagine a better way of seeking revenge on the world. But Victor Daniels and Jeremy Rhinehart won't let that happen. Recovering from their grisly encounters with the dead, they're more prepared than ever before. They work on finding the sources of bloodshed and imprisoning the crazed collectibles.

With murderous ghosts continuing to raise the death toll, Victor and Jeremy have their hands full. They race against time to stop the mayhem and save innocent bystanders. Fueled by their quest for revenge, each step brings them toward the culprit behind all the horror. But as they get closer to catching this madman, they discover how dangerous Stefan Korzh truly is....

So I’m such a drip and didn’t realise it was an ongoing series so that answers the end of my review of the first book! So more haunted objects are sold into the world with horrifying results. It’s getting a little more personal and now he has little Annie back. Also Stefan has seriously pissed off daddy! I still think it was very rushed like the first book. Walters rifle could have featured a little more. Still a decent horror read.

The Evening and the Morning ( 0.5 kingsbridge prequel )
By Ken Follet

Once read a review will be written via Smashbomb and link posted in comments

It is 997 CE, the end of the Dark Ages. England is facing attacks from the Welsh in the west and the Vikings in the east. Those in power bend justice according to their will, regardless of ordinary people and often in conflict with the king. Without a clear rule of law, chaos reigns.

In these turbulent times, three characters find their lives intertwined. A young boatbuilder's life is turned upside down when the only home he's ever known is raided by Vikings, forcing him and his family to move and start their lives anew in a small hamlet where he does not fit in. . . . A Norman noblewoman marries for love, following her husband across the sea to a new land, but the customs of her husband's homeland are shockingly different, and as she begins to realize that everyone around her is engaged in a constant, brutal battle for power, it becomes clear that a single misstep could be catastrophic. . . . A monk dreams of transforming his humble abbey into a center of learning that will be admired throughout Europe. And each in turn comes into dangerous conflict with a clever and ruthless bishop who will do anything to increase his wealth and power.

I absolutely loved it! After reading the other Kingsbridge books I knew I would enjoy this but not as much as I actually did! From the start I was sucked in I soon got wrapped up in the characters the places and stories! Ken Follet certainly knows how to keep you entertained I was annoyed every time real life dragged me away! Very good prequel!

A gripping new crime novel from the global bestseller Cathy Glass writing as Lisa Stone

‘The Darkness Within hooked me from the start. Once you start you won't be able to stop!’ Katerina Diamond, No.1 bestselling author of The Teacher

You know your son better than anyone. Don’t you?

When critically ill Jacob Wilson is given a life-saving heart transplant, his parents are relieved that their loving son has been saved.

However, before long, his family are forced to accept that something has changed in Jacob. Their once loving son is slowly being replaced by a violent man whose mood swings leave them terrified – but is it their fault?

Jacob’s girlfriend, Rosie, is convinced the man she loves is suffering from stress. But when his moods turn on her, she begins to doubt herself – and she can only hide the bruises for so long.

When a terrible crime is committed, Jacob’s family are forced to confront their darkest fears. Has the boy they raised become a monster? Or is someone else to blame?

This is a spellbinding crime novel with a dark heart from the worldwide bestseller Cathy Glass, writing as Lisa Stone

This was such a good read. You as a mother always know your own children, you notice all the little changes in behaviour. This is such a rare thing to have happen. If there was one thing I didn’t quite like was him not being held accountable for the attack on Mary he definitely should have been! But definitely a good read.
