Debbiereadsbook (1310 KP) rated Hanging with Daddy (Pride Pet Play 2023) in Books

I love JP Sayle, you know I do. I've watched the skill this author has grow from the very beginning, and I'm incredibly proud of the work this author continues to produce.
But!
This one I found a little too sweet for me, and I hate that I did.
It's well told, from both Gaines and Austin's point of view. It's the first I've of a koala as a chosen pet for play, and at times, I did find the koala stuff too much. There were koalas in everything, EVERYTHING Gaines did, and it was a bit overpowering.
I loved that both men had an immediate and powerful reaction to the other, and both men, once they started to get to know each other, were fully able to adapt and bend to the others' needs, without sacrificing their own. I liked that Austin gave Gaines time to work things out in his head, before he came to Austin, even if it killed Austin to wait.
I loved that we got to catch up with Terrence and Warner from A Little Christmas, Terrence. It's always great catching up with characters fromprevious reads, even in those that can stand alone from others.
I really liked that, while some things *little* were mentioned in passing, and others were talked about, Gaines doesn't slip far into little-space. He's more a pet-space kinda guy and I did like that. LOVED the descriptions of Gaines climbing Austin like a pole! LOVED them!!
It's steamy and smexy, not overly emotional and there is no real drama, save for Gaines getting his head straight to talk to Austin.
It just didn't really work for me, and I hate that it didn't! I'm sorry, Jayne!
3 good, but not really for me, stars

Suswatibasu (1702 KP) rated The Martian in Books

But the best part is Watney's alter-personality from being logical and organised, to being extremely witty and sarcastic. All the while surviving on godforsaken potatoes. There are also snapshots of how his other crew members are managing, and how earth is following his progress as he becomes the face of primetime TV. It's a race against time.
All I know is that if you're ever stranded on a desert island, you'll definitely need to bring a botanist engineer space pirate with you.

Suswatibasu (1702 KP) rated Twitter in Apps

When I worked in a newsroom, it was my next port of call to speak to eyewitnesses, or find out something from a far off country, so I can't stress enough how important it is for work. We were able to speak to Ukrainian activists on the ground when the conflict began in 2014 thanks to Twitter.
App-wise, it works relatively fine - the new updates can be problematic as I can't copy the writing and some of the alerts do not get pushed through. I now use Twitter Lite as it takes up less memory space on my phone - it's pretty much the same, but it uses Chrome instead.

Luke (278 KP) rated Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) in Movies

Iron man didnt steal the show, it only added more depth and created more space for story telling.
I love that he is not straight away brilliant with his powers, just like the rest of the MCU with there new powers comes a learning curve.
If the learning curve is falling through the roof as ironman, or falling through a shop window as captain america. spider man nails this with his swing into the floor.
I would like to see some more villians, spidermans villians are the most creative that it would be interesting
