I don't even remember where I ran across a synopsis of this graphic novel, but I'm glad I did! It's written for a young adult audience, but for me, I connected with it even more because there's a special needs character in the story, and I've got a child with special needs. It's refreshing to see a story give a character with differences strength and hope. The aliens in the story deal with weaknesses being perceived as bad, unwanted things. However, the differences that the character has may just prove to be an asset to his survival.

If you're looking for a book that is a fun read, but isn't frivolous; or one that investigates relationships in a family with a special-needs child, but isn't too serious; or something with interesting and introspective characters who aren't self-centered (at least, not exclusively); then this may be the book for you. Find out why in my review here. https://tcl-bookreviews.com/2015/11/17/a-well-punctuated-road-trip/

Average Action Flick
I didn't have high hopes for this film. I really enjoyed Olympus has fallen but the sequel set in London was pretty poor. This was at least a lil better than the last one, although not by much. There are some good action scenes but the plot was a bit silly and predictable. It was a bit too long as well. Just ok for your action needs, nothing special.

Sad Ben.
Just finished. An ok action movie if you like the sort. 5 ex members of the special forces willing to take down a Narcos boss and Rob his money. I didn't have high expectations for this movie so I enjoyed it enough. The story is weak but does what it needs to do. The cast is all right.

I hadn't seen this movie in over ten years so I'm counting this as the first time I've seen it. Wow, what a movie. Disney needs to make more movies like this. I loved so much about this movie. One of my favorite things is just how each minor character has something that makes them unique, and it's so easy to see how special and different they all are. That's not something you get in a lot of movies nowadays.

Mr Tumble and Friends
Something special is a very unique children's television series following the clumsy clown character known as Mr Tumble.
Portrayed by Justin Fletcher and always includes children with disabilities & special needs, involving them in the fun activities of the show.
Over time, the show has created new characters like Aunt polly, Grandad Tumble, Lord Tumble & many more.
A very recognisable character with his polkadot covered patchwork clothes, mr tumble has become a welcoming household name & continues to evolve.
It has helped children with their creativity & imagination and has even spawned a live stage show.
What is also incredible is that Justin Fletcher is a trained Makaton signer who uses this skill on the show with children who have delayed learning & communication difficulties & has created many memories for so many young children.
It is also the longest running programme on Cbeebies.
