"This was the mid-’80s, around the time PiL made Album. On that record, I was referring to the heavy metal scene, which had crawled up its own backside. It was endless bands imitating each other, the same nonsense that punk turned into. But great achievements were made in music around then too. Everything from madder folk outfits and pop music itself was becoming very interesting then. I was always pleasantly surprised that oddball stuff would creep in the charts from nowhere. Someone like Gary Numan gave pop music a very distinctive and clear tone that was all his own. “At this stage, I would have been buying everything that was being made, but Alice Cooper’s Killer never left me. That easy way of growling he had was always impressive."

I want to play a game
This seems to have come out of nowhere, or I'm just well behind with up coming releases. A detective story from the Saw universe.
Chris Rock, a little hard to view as a homicide detective, is working a case of a potential copycat killer of Saw targeting dirty cops. There is plenty of blood and gore in the traps as you expect, although they are less centre stage this time.
It's a decent mix of a cop thriller with the Saw traps twist thrown in. Although the ending was a little abrupt for me. Overall a decent film that will keep Saw fans happy while moving in a different direction.

"The beats on this are really good. You've got Dirty Danger on there as well and a few other guys. Grime wasn't being lorded at this time, it wasn't glamorous, it wasn't in vogue and that's what I like. You can feel that in these recordings. Today's stuff is still good. I bought Giggs' album the other day, Landlord, that's really good. I was going to buy Stormzy's but after last night at the Brits, I don't know now! I can't believe he went on stage with Ed Sheeran. Call me closed minded but I just thought, mate, what are you doing? He's got a really good flow but he needs to live a bit more for those words to ring true. Even with Skepta's early work you can hear he's hungry for it."
