What a brilliant short-story! I loved the lights and the Ghost of Christmas Future. Although short, this is powerful and reflects upon how life can be if circumstances are against you. It has the feel of a psychological thriller to it, and there are plenty of twists and turns to keep your attention.
This was a fantastic seasonal read, so different from the warm and fuzzy stories you normally get. I thought the ending was unexpected and perfect, and so I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this amazing story.

Eeva and Sawyer were young star-crossed lovers - neither of them prepared to make that first step and both of them feeling let down by the other. Five years later, they get a second chance.
This is a warm and low-angst story that will melt your heart on a cold winter night. Eeva and Sawyer have a great supporting cast, including Sol who was adorable.
The descriptions are very well done and the pacing is perfect for the story. All in all, this was a great story that I thoroughly enjoyed and have no hesitation in recommending.

Eyv finds out his betrothal is being broken in favour of his younger brother. In anger, he bites off the hand of his 'beloved.' In return, his father crushes his heartstone and Evy gets sentenced to death. Nice, huh?! Durango is Boone's brother and one of the dragons sent to rescue Eyv. Their attraction is pretty much instant, but they have to cope with the whole, you know, dying part of not having a heartstone.
This was a great addition to the series but I would recommend reading it as a series rather than a standalone. It is full of characters we met in the first book, as well as new ones. There are also more rescues so that ramps up the political situation too.
Lake's story was perfect for him and Boone, just as this one is perfect for Eyv and Durango. I love their family and can't wait to see what happens next for them.
Definitely recommended by me.

Those familiar with the series will be delighted with the latest entry. Yes, the antics with the turkey keep the mystery in the background for a while, but I was having so much fun I didn’t much care. It helped that I was laughing at what was happening. When Meg finds the body, the mystery does pick up and lead us through some great twists to a logical climax. The characters are their normal charming selves, and the new characters fit right into the series. If you haven’t met the characters yet, these books standalone well enough that you can jump in here. And if you are a longtime fan, you’ll be happy with the latest release.
