Santa Slasher
Hard to see what all the fuss was about by today's standards but suppose it was a bit shocking for '84. The film does look really dated now and is just unintentionally funny rather than scary or gruesome. A very poor film with cheap effects, bad acting and little plot. The good things are the typical 80's slasher feel to it, a few inventive kills. Hard to think it got 4 sequels!

The acting
Probably one of the worst disaster movies ever with some of the worst special effects ever even by 70s standards and the acting from the likes of Mia farrow and rock Hudson they must have been desperate for work probably the best part of the movie is mystery science theater 3000 the return poking fun at it and making it look good

Here I Go Killing Again...
Going back to these games is both a treat and a slap in the face. They do feel rather dated by today's standards, but they also preserve the charm that they had the first time around. If you have nothing to play and want to relive the good old days of a decent AC game, then you will have a good time with this collection.

This is very easy to read, unlike a lot of translated classics. I highly recommend it. It is interesting as to what is classified as a romance, as the first story of the the seven wouldn't be deemed to the modern standards of romantic. However, after getting to know the definition of romance in this context, this is very different to the way we look at romance - in terms of love and gestures, the book becomes increasingly interesting.

Even by PG Wodehouse standards, this one is pretty complicated - so much so, that Bertie Wooster even provides a list at the end of the novel (something liek 'Sundered Hearts'/'Reunited Hearts')!

Of course, while reading it, I was also (perhaps unavoidably) comparing it to the episodes of the old TV series that were clearly based on this particular novel, making it impossible to visualise any other than Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie as Jeeves and Wooster, respectively.
