"The wonderful, ill-fated Carole Lombard stars in this perfect, slick Depression-era romantic comedy. I like that obsolete terms such as “forgotten man”—which in this case refers to the homeless William Powell—can live on forever in the movies along with the stars who utter them. Thankfully, New York no longer has Hoovervilles, but I regret that the madcap Manhattan socialite seems to be an extinct species."

I couldn't get into this story, I don't know if it had anything to do with me giving my previous read, another mm romance book, 5 stars but I failed to gel with the story.

Don't get me wrong it had some nice moments and I loved that it was set in England, though I've never been there, but I didn't feel it.

This wasn't for me.

Wonderful classic! Read this to my son and he didn't want me to set it down. I wish they had added the Cloud Men in the movies.

Pretty good follow-up. 4 stars only because there was so much retelling of information from Touch of Frost. Story line is good and I'm starting Dark Frost today.
