"Thoughtful apocalyptic concept"
This novel mixes an apocalyptic scenario with real life dramas from a bygone era. The various narratives are engaging and the back and forth stories knit together all the different subplots. The fact that it surrounds a troupe of performers with a past history in the arts makes for a different kind of dystopian fiction.

Respectful yet still new
This Sherlock Holmes variant is wonderful. The team that has created this series has truly respected the essence and artistry of the original stories of Holmes and Watson by Arthur Conan Doyle and yet found a way to make them fresh, approachable, and almost addicting, to the modern audience.

Mothergamer (1568 KP) rated the PlayStation 4 version of The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind in Video Games

Adds a lot of good content with interesting quests and stories. I always have fun playing this with my friends whether it's exploring different areas together or just working on crafting. There's a lot to do in the game solo or with other players. I play this on the PC and Playstation 4 and have a lot of fun.

Non traditional
I like the concept of the story , but if you are a fan of th fairy tale sweet versions these dark ones might really not be for you. I didn’t expect to like to much . Better than I thought it would be.

A classic
I still love this story after countless readings and about as many reboots. Few are unfamiliar with the story, which lends itself well to contemporary retellings. But I enjoy revisiting the original now and then. It's a very quick read, and one of my favorite ghost stories and tales of redemption. If Scrooge can change, who can't?

Short and sweet
A great addition to the wizarding world collection. This is a short but sweet read with a few stories that are "classics for young wizards". JK Rowling was clever to think of adding commentaries by Dumbledore after each story, this really feels like Dumbledore is engaging with the reader. What's not to like?

Is there such a thing as a bad Calvin and Hobbes book? Not quite as many stories but some sharp looks at our culture that are still relevant 20 years later. And just plan plenty of laughs.

Lirahlu (37 KP) rated The Burning Sky (The Elemental Trilogy, #1) in Books
Mar 19, 2018
For some reason Sherry Thomas has the ability to take stories you think will be boring and turn them into an entirely new and entertaining premise. Aspects of the Burning Sky were predictable but they were set in a world kept the reader intrigued and wanting to know more.
