Harry Potter!!! (1 more)
Put yourself in the story
Its not REALLY the story (1 more)
Too much "energy" usage and not enough actual playing time
Missed opportunity
I was REALLY excited about this app...and then when I played it, I was incredibly let down. It wasn't really how they advertised how it would be. And then it's energy based so to do tasks, it requires energy...but you only get like 25 energy points and each task is like 4 points so you only get to play for like 5 minutes and then you have to wait 4 hours for your energy to recharge.

A gritty hard thriller about a cop killer in London. It has a great well known UK cast, more TV than film though. The only real problem is the story they have to work with, it's a bit weak at best. As a result there is very little suspense in the plot, it also has a fairly low budget feel to it. It's ok for those who like a quick fix of action/thriller with a simple basic story. Others might like a bit more substance in the plot, which could have made it a lot better.

Disclaimer: I received an e-copy in exchange for an honest review.
The title definitely doesn't lie -- these are some STRANGE little girls. Each story is so different from the last, and they all suck you in and don't let up until the end. There are even a couple I could see being turned into at least a novella on their own, as I would love to read more about that particular girl's story.
Really interesting read, and since it's a collection of short stories, you can read a little bit at a time and not forget where you are.

Kristin (149 KP) rated Stage Business in Books
Dec 7, 2018
This book was unlike anything I've read before in that the characters are stage actors playing detectives in order to solve a case on their own without involving police (due to specific reasons that are laid out over the course of the story). It makes total sense now, but I never would've thought that undercover police work is basically just acting, so who better than actual actors to do the work? It's such an interesting story, and I would recommend it to anyone who likes a little mystery and detective stories with a bit of a twist on the usual.

Don't judge a book by it's cover is something I've been told since I was little. It's something I still do and this story showed me how that bleeds into judging people and why first impressions are important we most certainly should never judge a person based on our assumptions. I enjoyed reading this book the story was slightly frustrating in parts but I simply think the author was just trying to emphasize the conflict so that the light of why we shouldn't judge would be brighter. I also loved the poetry along the way one of my favorite parts of the chapters.

This is a Netflix original "dark comedy" crime drama. The acting was good and the cinematography was too. It's a small town crime story involving a group of people that grew up together and knew each other well. It's told in a backwards style so the events happening are shown in reverse order. The story unfolds quite well and keeps your interest the whole time. It has a few laughs and a pretty good twist to the end that isn't too predictable. I liked this movie overall. Nothing too graphic for kids either. Worth a watch!

Ssshhhhh!
I wasn't sure about this film to start with but gave it a go.
The main story is basically about a family who have to be quiet or the alien type monsters that live within the grounds will attack.
The family use sign language to communicate and have mastered various methods for getting around the house and local area without making any noise.
It is a survival film and although it was strange watching a film with barely any talking in it i did actually enjoy it!

A decent film
I was really looking forward to this after watching @The Conjuring 2 (2016) which was genuinely creepy. Which introduced us to the Nun character. Unfortunately this doesn't quite create the same atmosphere of that film. Mainly going for jump scares. Which for me were predictable, the guy next to me jumped quite a bit though.
It was still an enjoyable film and links nicely to the Conjuring universe. Maybe if it was an 18 rating it would be scarier and less like a ghost story. Overall a good back story if a slightly missed opportunity.

What more can I say about this incredible series? Im SO sad its over... Ive loved Claire & Tony's story, no matter how painful it was to read and go through at times. The connection, the passion and the perfect fit of these two are just amazing.. I've been rooting for Tony & Claire for books now and am so beyond happy to see them end up in their "happily ever after." Now we an all just sit around and hope that someday Aleatha changes her mind and continues this story! (although Im sure she's tired of hearing that!?) ;-) LOVE LOVE LOVE this series...

Well Done
This psychological thriller on Netflix turned out to be pretty interesting. Topher Grace did a good job playing his role as the main protagonist. No flashy effects or true scares but the story played out well and ended up being pretty twisted. Kept you wondering what was in his head and what wasn't throughout most of the movie. I'd definitely recommend this one. The cinematography was well done and all the actors played their parts well. It's kind of slow moving at times, but really worth a watch!
