This book was AMAZING! [Ken Williams] tells the inside story of working with the homeless in the backyard of the rich and famous. In [Fractured Angel] he draws on his own experiences to create a fictionalized account of a social worker, a mother, and a fifteen year old runaway all trying to cope with their demons. [Williams] has a way with storytelling and the empathy he shows for all his characters shows through in his words.

This movie is on Netflix right now. It's not a fast paced movie. It touches on the death and the afterlife and its affect on three peoples' lives. Each in a different way. Turned out to be pretty good although it's not my usual kind of movie. The acting was done well and the story, though slow going, kept my interest. The ending was a little predictable but it didn't matter to the overall storytelling. Worth a watch!

Elizabeth is missing is an easy read tackling a tough subject matter (dementia). I was gripped from the get go reading about Maud and attempting to unmuddle her mind. I found myself very attached to her story both past and present. Without giving away to much, a slightly disappointing ending, leaving me with more questions than I had to begin with. Overall I loved Emma Healeys storytelling and would read a few more of her books in the future

Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) (2020)
2020 | Action, Adventure, Crime
This movie was so much fun. A wild ride from start to finish. The jumpy storytelling didn't really bother me, because I imagine that's what it's like inside Harley Quinn's brain. 😁 Margot Robbie is delightful. Rosie Perez is slightly annoying, as she is in everything she's in, IMO. And they really didn't need to pound into our heads over and over again that Harley and the Joker broke up and she's on her revenge tour. We got it.
