This is a short story that was published in the New Yorker. The tale is strange and intriguing and fits perfectly into Ishiguro’s style. I listened to this story on the New Yorker’s fiction podcast which I would highly recommend as the reader spends time discussing the story as well as giving a reading. I really enjoyed this story and would definitely recommend it.This is a short story that was published in the New Yorker. The tale is strange and intriguing and fits perfectly into Ishiguro’s style. Broadcast Signal Intrusion is a bit of a mind-bender of a movie you will see what I mean when you check out for yourselves, including the ending of the movie which I watched a couple of times to work out for myself what was actually happening, but that’s not a bad thing it works well to keep you on your toes.

I have to say I do like the movies that have that unusual twist and Broadcast Signal Intrusion is no exception, right from the start I was hooked, I needed to find out who is the strange masked woman in the videos that have been recorded and what are they saying in the garbled and strange noise that accompanies the freaky looking footage.

Many characters felt miscast to me
A small addition to the Marvel Universe
An ok film in its own right. Some how for me it doesn't fit as well as the other Marvel superhero films. Some of the cast choices seemed strange. Still entertaining but a bit on the silly side.

2015 | Drama
Very original drama, where each episode sees one of the strange tattoos on "Jane Doe"'s body reveal an imminent terror threat, or unravel corporate greed. The effort put into the tattoo puzzles was excellent and felt like they were solved with genuine effort. The emerging underlying plot and identifying who Jane might really be added an extra dimension.

Evil Dead II (1987)
1987 | Comedy, Horror
A very strange and gory horror, comedy. This was made quite a few years after the first but feels very similar, although the technology for the effects has greatly improved during that time, it really shows in some scenes. It has a very similar storyline as well to the first, so if you liked that you should like this.

Breaking Into Sci-Fi
Looking to break into the sci-fi genre? To be fully immersed in a time and place both familiar and strange? Dune takes social political structures from our world and creates worlds, families, feuds, and builds such a complex universe that the end of the book comes much too soon!

Just a book about philosophy
Perhaps not my kind of book, I didnt really enjoy the concept and found the philosophy lessons quite long and boring. The plot was interesting but I didnt finish the book. Found it a but strange that a young girl just trusts an old man who sends her letters.
