So how funny could Game Night really be? That was the question I asked myself after seeing the hysterical trailer for the movie before its cinematical release, so now that Game Night has now arrived from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment on Digital Download and on Blu-ray™ and DVD. It was time for me to check out the movie on Blu-ray.
Game night stars Jason Bateman (the “Horrible Bosses” films, TV’s “Arrested Development,” TV’s “Ozark”) and Oscar nominee Rachel McAdams (“Spotlight,” “Dr. Strange”) as they take Game Night’s to an extreme, this is not just about sitting at home playing Monopoly or Cluedo, this is about taking the evening a step further into hysterical situations.

All hell breaks loose when a strange force animates the puppets up for auction at a convention, setting them on a bloody killing spree that’s motivated by an evil as old as time in Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich. which was recently shown at the Fractured Visions Film Festival.
I remember many years ago, in those days of VHS back in the 80s/90s seeing the first Puppet Master movie, it was one of the movies that I loved, not for just the slightly gory bits, but also for the way that the puppets were created and animated on the screen, via stop-frame animation and practical effects as well.

Generally speaking, if a book looks as though Germany, or somewhere in Germany, is going to have a reasonably central role, I’m going to read it. And Berlin didn’t disappoint.
Daphne has moved to Berlin, ostensibly to learn German, but as the book progresses it seems more likely that she’s trying to escape something. Trouble and strange occurrences seem to follow Daphne, and I was left wondering if it was in her imagination a lot of the time. Nothing is easy - from her German lessons, to her relationships and flat rentals.
Daphne is an unreliable narrator - and I think that’s all I need to say! Other than: it was a great read that I really enjoyed!

The second full-length Sherlock Holmes novel (after A Study in Scarlet), in which Arthur Conan Doyle further develops the character of Sherlock and Dr Watson, in particular bringing to attention the former's cocaine habit and his ability to be a master of disguise.
This time, the duo are investigation the strange affair of Mary Marston - whose father disappeared years ago - and her unknown benefactor; an affair which later proves to have ties to the Indian Mutiny of 1857, and four co-conspirators (hence 'The sign of THE four', as it was originally called who each lay claim to a treasure stolen during that mutiny.
Can definitely see the characters being developed; in particular that of Dr Watson.

A Sci-Fi Horror that starts fairly well but has a rather odd ending that might leave you scratching your head.
A weird shimmer zone appears around a light house and appears to be expanding. Scientist's are not sure what to make and any expeditions into the area do not return.
More traditional Horror to start with as a team of female scientist's enter the area and encounter some strange biological difference's in the plants and animals.
Sadly the ending was very different and odd that's left to your own reasoning as to what it's about. Won't be for everyone.

Life for Peter Parker (Tom Holland) is complicated thanks to his dual life as Spider-Man and the challenges of being in High School. Unfortunately for him; his best intentions are about to make things much worse in "Spider-Man: No Way Home".
Taking place where "Spider-Man: Far From Home" ended; Peter must deal with his secret identity being leaked by Tabloid Journalist J. Jonah Jameson (J. K. Simmons); and the throngs of people, helicopters, and protestors who follow his every move and camp outside his home.
As if this was not bad enough; being accused of being a murderer has drawn the attention of the authorities which further complicates his life as does returning to a school where everyone knows his identity.
Desperate to get away from the constant scrutiny and observation; Peter seeks out Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), and asks him to cast a spell that would make the world forget that Peter Parker is Spider-Man.
Strange agrees but mid-spell Peter requests that there are some exemptions from the spell which include his Girlfriend MJ (Zendaya); his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei); and his friend Ned (Jacob Batalon).
Strange agrees but in doing so; complications arise which allows entrants from other dimensions to enter their realm. Soon Peter is accosted by villains whom he does not know but seem to know him; that is until he is unmasked and they have no idea who this Peter Parker is before them.
As more villains arrive; Peter learns of their fates in their natural dimension and is determined to save them and give them a second chance which puts him at odds with Doctor Strange who says they must go back to whatever fate they had.
What follows is a descent into humor and darkness as Peter despite his best intentions sees the situation go from bad to worse and he must fight to stay true to himself and save the day.
The film is a difficult one to review in the fact that there are so many surprise guests, twists, and turns that it is challenging to not reveal anything but suffice it to say that fans should absolutely enjoy it.
The film takes its time getting to the action as it has a very slow and deliberate climb and Director Jon Watts is confident enough in the characters and premise that he allows ample time for the characters and setting to build and be established before he gets to the action.
While there is considerable fan service in the film; it never once seems like it is pandering and it all fits very well within the story and the MCU and opens up numerous possibilities for the future.
There is a mid-credit scene and a post-credit scene which is basically a trailer and both are very engaging in terms of the possibilities as Marvel has again shown that their plan of interwoven stories and characters continues to deliver and that Spider-Man still remains as popular and engaging as ever.
