A decent survival drama/thriller as a group of men try to survive a plane crash in the Alaskan wilderness with a pack of Wolves on their trail. Neeson seems to be the flavour of the year at present and does another good job here. The only problem is the story is a little bleak and tries to carry a message about death and the afterlife as well. Which starts fairly subtle before cropping up quite regularly towards the end. It has a very short scene after the credits as well. Reminded me of The Edge as well.

From the same director as Black Water about a Alligator menacing a group of stranded people in the outback. We have this survival thriller about a group of friends whose boat is capsized and after some decide to swim encounter a great white shark. Apparently based on true events...
It does feel very similar to both Open water and Adrift but has a bit more action I felt. Definitely not as slowly paced as Open water. Given the subject matter, this is about as good as this type of film can get. It won't be for everyone.

Although I did not see in 3D (probably would've been better), I found this movie entertaining as well as beautiful on my 4K TV.

The story of a boy stranded on a lifeboat with mainly a Bengal tiger is interesting and is a metaphor at the same time. Any story of survival is usually compelling and this one is no different.

The visuals, cinematography and art direction were beautiful

Don't think it deserved a Best Director Academy Award for Ang Lee; however, the choices were pretty weak that year so I guess it is what it is.

Ssshhhhh!
I wasn't sure about this film to start with but gave it a go.
The main story is basically about a family who have to be quiet or the alien type monsters that live within the grounds will attack.
The family use sign language to communicate and have mastered various methods for getting around the house and local area without making any noise.
It is a survival film and although it was strange watching a film with barely any talking in it i did actually enjoy it!

I don't even remember where I ran across a synopsis of this graphic novel, but I'm glad I did! It's written for a young adult audience, but for me, I connected with it even more because there's a special needs character in the story, and I've got a child with special needs. It's refreshing to see a story give a character with differences strength and hope. The aliens in the story deal with weaknesses being perceived as bad, unwanted things. However, the differences that the character has may just prove to be an asset to his survival.

The third book in Simon Scarrow's Arena series of e-book exclusives, this (like the previous two) only consists of 9 chapters and so is a pretty short read.

Unlike the last entry, however, Macro plays more of a role in this story, which is set in and around the running of a lanista (Gladiator 'school') rather than in an Arena. Again, the culmination of the novel is a fight between two Gladiators: this time, though, they are fighting in the grounds of the lanista (one for survival, the other to escape) rather than in the Arena for the amusement of the mob ...

Intense
Nothing quite like mother nature to give you a good scare. This movie had good acting, really good cinematography and a great storyline. This survival horror movie starts off a little slow with a long hurricane and a daughter trying to find gett father in it. Then they threw alligators in the mix(and BIG ones at that) and things got intense real quick. A few deaths and some jump scares later and this farthest/ daughter duo proves that they don't give up. One of the better horror movies I've seen in a while. This one is DEFINITELY with a watch!

One of my favourite games. Complete carnage. Take control of one of the gingerbread men in this survival game made of cheeky punches and bazookas. 2-6 players flee from candy land to escape. You’re not the only one so it’s a fight for the exit.
Grab weapons, run past your opponents and don’t forget to sucker punch them. If all else fails then call a cage match battle!!! Rip your opponents limbs off one by one and keep them as trophies. 6 biscuits enter, one biscuit leaves. Check out my review...

Powerful and emotional!
Determined to build the best football club in the country, Dimitry hires the German coach, Rudolph Spitz, to galvanize his rag tag team but - when the first Nazi tanks roll through the city and Rebecca, the beautiful daughter of a local banker, elopes with his star player, all Dimitry's plans must change.

A fight for freedom and keeping the nationality, a fight for love, a fight for survival - this is a must watch to everyone that has interest in history, or loves romance or football.

Emotional until the very end, powerful in every scene, and surrounded by funny moments throughout.
