The purpose of reading is to open your mind, see into different lives and different worlds that differ from you own.
A good book will have you talking about it, asking questions and going over the content in your mind, this book does that.
You neither need to be religious or non-religious to appreciate the book and it's purpose. Whether you agree or believe in what unfolds is neither here nor there.

Kevin Phillipson (10021 KP) rated Doctor who creature from the pit in TV
Dec 22, 2021
Watched last night let's start off by talking about the creature itself dear lord what were they thinking evenof the acting in HD it looks terrible no money spent on the creature itself and less said the rhing that sticks out of it especially as reminds of male part of the body. At least it has a decent script let down by the effects and some of the acting

Pacing
I enjoyed this book. There are a few rough spots that smooth out eventually, mostly dealing with character voices. This makes sense as he mostly writes in first person and switching to third is hard. It's a builder book so there's a lot of world building and terms can be confusing until later on in the book. I hope he continues with this series.
Alison Pink (7 KP) rated Fearless Fourteen (Stephanie Plum, #14) in Books
Jan 15, 2018
Fearless Fourteen follows Evanovich's same winning Stephanie Plum formula with one exception that I thoroughly enjoyed. The conclusion to this book was not until the VERY end...I'm talking the last 10 pages end. It kept me on the edge of my seat until the last word. It was to the point that I was thinking, "Man, am I going to have to wait until #15 to find out what the deal is with this $19 million!?"
Satisfying read!

Jeff Belnap (4 KP) rated Suicide Squad (2016) in Movies
Jun 11, 2019
Disappointed
With an all star cast, one would think this movie would be almost Oscar worthy. Well, it was. If you're talking about Oscar the grouch. Because this movie is pure garbage. They kill off what could have been a great character right off. A few others were killed by poor casting. I mean, come on!! Letto's joker was laughable!!
