"This still feels like one of the most radical books I’ve ever read. It’s considered to be the first existential novel. It’s the memoir of a nameless retired civil servant in Saint Petersburg who’s staging a protest against rational thought and says things like “Talking nonsense is the sole privilege mankind possesses over the other organisms. It's by talking nonsense that one gets to the truth! I talk nonsense, therefore I'm human.”"

Watch live at least than you understand who is talking when and what is truely going on. The added few minutes of talk was not worth the effort.

"Nude vampires, a gun-toting talking black cat, and devil as ultimate party starter aside, the miracle of this novel is that every time you read it, it's a different book."

"I love Shakespeare, and this is perhaps the best book that’s ever been written about him. It’s a fantastic way of talking about Will, and his whole life and career. Completely fascinating."

Don’t know what to say
It’s okay but I think what annoyed me the most I think is no talking. Which was good cause it’s realistic then but annoying.

Nice short sentences and brightly coloured pages are very attractive to toddlers. My daughter enjoyed this one a lot as she is fascinated with brushing her teeth and talking about the tooth fairy.

"That makes me sound like a film snob of some sort, because I’m just talking about black-and-white movies. I love those movies, but Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner is just brilliant."
