To be honest I knew nothing about TILM until I accepted a new teaching position for next year. The principal is fantastic about including new staff in end of the year communication about prep for next year. One of the things she mentioned is looking for a pilot group to read The Leader in Me & try it out in their rooms. I was skeptical about "adding one more thing"...after 11 years of teaching I've seen more grand ideas & guaranteed fixes come & go. But after reading this I can say this feels different. This isn't a new fad, it's basic skills we should all have &, much like cursive writing, are being pushed aside in our testing culture. The ideas are easy to incorporate & the authors stress easing into it.
But the authors say it best, "In today's global economy, we simply cannot afford to continue waiting until young people receive their first promotion into corporate leadership before we teach them how to get along with others, to set goals, to think ahead. We cannot idly wait for them to become school-teachers, doctors, firefighters, engineers, or parents before we teach them how to organize their lives, to take initiative, or to work in teams. We cannot afford to relax and hope they detect their own worth and potential on their own. They deserve better. They deserve hope. "

This movie is so important, in the nerd culture community and in the societal human community at large especially for America. An entire movie about African life and culture, celebrating and showing and teaching those things unapologetically. An entire movie that is not specifically for teaching anecdotally about African culture but was a movie for something else that saw that there was the opportunity to take it and force it to also be so importantly about the culture behind the superhero.

On top of the wonderful culture, we get amazingly Badass feminist Black women. They take care of themselves, they fight, they run the science department for the entire country, they save themselves, they go out and save the world, they stand up against stupid decisions. Just absolutely amazing.

You also, of course, get all of the amazing superhero moments. Action-packed for the right amount, the plot makes sense and is followable. A twist that is amazing and once you see it you see all of the lead up to it, which is so absolutely wonderful, it doesn't just appear out of nowhere.

I walked out wanting to immediately buy the dvd and watch it again and that was over a week ago. Absolutely stunning and everyone should go see it and fully absorb it and the message it gives.

What happens when we let a bowl of pears sit on the counter a bit too long? Mushy fruit and fruit flies!

What happens when we let the Fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23) sit unused? Spiritual Fruit Flies! The Fruit of the Spirit never goes bad but spiritual fruit flies, like worry, temptations, impatience, bad habits, etc. distract us from living out the Spirit’s fruit in our lives.

In Fruit Flies in Our Faith you will learn to:

Listen to the Spirit and begin to recognize the spiritual fruit flies buzzing around you.

Rely on the Spirit to begin to make realistic changes to exterminate those pesky fruit flies.

Experience the wonder of the Spirit’s fruit growing and ripening in your life.

Share the Spirit’s delicious fruit with the world around you.

Focus on what the Spirit is teaching you through your own experiences and stories.

My Thoughts: We certainly know what happens when we don't use fruit, it rots! God has given us fruit to use and use it we must. In this book, the reader will learn to recognize their fruit and to learn to use it before it stagnates.

With lots of good teaching and encouragement, the reader will learn to grow and develop their fruits.

Truly encouraging and inspiring!

A Wonderful Story about the Story We All Have to Tell
What a wonderful idea for a children's book. A story about how everyone has a unique and special story to tell. I love how this book travels around the world showing pictures of different places. I think it is always great when books expand children's minds to the world around them. I think teaching children to share then story and to want to learn about the story of others is a great way to explore the world and all it has to offer.

Not for me
At its heart this game is all about the multiplayer. Which is great if you love pvp but for me getting murdered repeatedly in the chaos of a dogfight is so frustrating I'd rather be playing something else.
The single player campaign has very little to get excited about and seems to be there as a means of teaching the player the controls.

The game graphics, however, are beautiful. And I really wish I had VR so I could enjoy it fully.
An alright game for those who love Star Wars, but doesn't have the depth of many other games available this generation.

This has been borrowed from the Kindle Unlimited library.

I read the previous books in this series a while ago now and gave all of them 4.5 stars but one, which is a rare thing for me to do.

This is Stu's story, Lee's brother from the previous book. He's just been released from prison and has enrolled in an adult class where Andrea is teaching at the local college. There's an instant attraction between them but Andrea fights it as Stu is her student. Stu flirts with her continuously and before long feelings begin to emerge. It turns out all is not as it seems.

I won't go into too much detail as it will ruin the story but I did enjoy this. I grew to really like Stu but he did deceive Andrea a bit. He made up for it big time and, through Andreas teaching and her just being a really supportive, caring person, he started to believe in himself and that he could do better than being a thief.

That epilogue had me smiling like a lunatic. Alfie is a bit of a genius!

This hasn't been my favourite of the series but I have enjoyed seeing more of the Cross clan, and I'm looking forward to reading Trevor's story next. I have One Epic Night as a freebie from the author which is a prequel to the sixth book in this series and I will be reading it next.

[Johnny Graphic and the Etheric Bomb] by [D.R. Martin] was an incredible adventure. In the classic sense of serial adventures from the 1940's the young cub photographer, who happens to see ghosts and is 12 yrs old, has to save the world from a horrible new bomb. Along with his sister, Melanie and other friends, they travel the world to solve the mystery and stop destruction.

As a teacher who just spent the past three weeks teaching about the making of the atomic bomb this book seemed to parallel that with a 'ghostly' twist. (I know bad pun.) I will be looking forward to reading book two. Also did I mention besides ghosts there are zombies. Highly recommended.

Where Is My Coat? Farm Animals by Anita Bijsterbosch is a cute board book for very young children who like to play fun and simple guessing games with pictures of cozy-colored animals at play. It is a a pleasant and easy read.

Animal shapes are shown and you are asked what they are. It is very interactive. Kids will need to use their visual skills to figure out what type of animal is depicted. The illustrations are super cute and the colors draw you in. This is a good book to use for teaching animals to small children.

I received this ARC from Clavis Publishing via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Good Night Baby Animals teaches us what an animal does in six different stories. Sleep is important for a baby and baby animals. This is true for hamans as well. This book show use though the baby animals what they do during there day.

They explore and what they need to rest as well when the time is right. The author does a good job doing this and showing children and teaching children that sleep and rest is important to all including animals.

The pictures are colorful. They are done wonderfully. They also can tell the story for young children. Parents should have this for their young children to learn about animals and rest.

Bible Study
If you are searching for a good Bible study, this is it. Written by the author of Hagar the first study in the series Rediscovering the God Who Rescued Me; Shadia Hrichi. This author has an enjoyable way of teaching the Bible. It's informative, and exciting to dig into the Bible with Shadia. The readers will learn so much and enjoy as they learn.

I am so glad that I had the opportunity to review this study. It's an easy 6-week study that can be extended into 12 weeks if so desired. If you are looking for a Bible study I urge you to give this one a try.
