Something is in the Mist
Personally I thought this was excellent! Heard little about it before seeing it, but once I heard it is based on a Stephen King story I had to check it out. It certainly is typical Stephen King stuff, weird and wonderful. A mix of Cloverfield and the Fog. If you haven't seen it go check it out!
The DVD has the option to watch it in black and white.

Happy Death Day (2017) puts a new spin on the old saying 'many happy returns'!
Although it has its moments of dread and tension, the movie’s not out to terrify or traumatize, it just wants to have a good time and give you a few chills while it does it. Jessica Rothe is an eminently likeable lead, convincing both as the selfish, IDGAF sorority girl and the tempered victim ready to atone for her past and take control of her future...

A slice of romantic heaven. (Cheesy line necessary). This book is nothing like I expected, combining hockey, pizza and an old enemies to lovers type of romance. For me the most intriguing part was the tension between the main character and her parents. The idea of following in their footsteps just because it's a family tradition was relatable. It helps those trying to make their own way feel like it is possible.
A great read for those who love romance, hockey, and finding yourself through unexpected means.

I enjoyed the book. There were elements of Douglas Adams in the book, but where the book fell short was trying to only stay slightly with one foot in the silliness and one foot in serious satire. I don't feel like the two could be reconciled as one. It was entertaining, but it really just wanted to build tension which I wasn't feeling at all. This of course may just be a personal taste, but It was only a 3 out of 5 star read for me.

An ok fighting film about the underdog on the rise. It's a well made and put together film with some good actors. However I have to say it hasn't got very good fight choreography!! Most of the fights are random brawls, cage fight style mixed disciplines....and don't last that long. There isn't a lot of build up to the fights either in terms of tension or training. Overall an ok watch but I thought Never back down was a similar plot film done much better.

I never felt bored. (1 more)
I remained suspicious the entire story. So many characters and how could you trust any of them?
It's probably 100 pages too long (0 more)
It's not my usual type of written book. There is 300 pages where very little happen. Endless stream of not useless information that holds no value to the current story. Yet, I never felt bored. So many characters made the story easy to build tension and become as anxious at the main character. It's a solid, good book.

Unsettling Thriller
What a tense read!! From the moment the situation becomes apparent a creeping feeling of unease is ever-present, I did not relax while reading this book.

When faced with the unimaginable horror of discovering their child was swapped at birth Pete and Maddie have to question everything, while dealing with a new family so suddenly entangled in theirs.

I loved the growing tension and unease I felt reading this book.

Many thanks to NetGalley, the author, and publisher for the copy of this book.
