Above and Below perfected, Ryan Laukat is a genius...
I admit that I love exploration games, going into and delving into the great unknown. And the stories created and tension of if you have enough to defeat on coming challenges, yet you still have to work around the rest of the world and keep your engine going. You have to keep up with everything and keep balanced. If you like Above and Below this one is better and slightly different, but both are amazing games.

Let down by the ending
This started as a really interesting look at a dysfunctional family dealing with grief, with the story driven by the characters, rather than by the scares. Unfortunately the last 10 minutes completely changes things, by going into WTF territory. It felt like the writers couldn’t come up with an ending to do the rest of the film justice, so decided to “shock” and confuse the audience instead. This was a shame, as the rest of the film was rather good.

Originally, I didn't really want to see this film. I thought it might be ok, and I felt super old, knowing that John Cho could convincingly play a character that had a 16 YO.
This film was completely told via computer/mobile phone screens, and it was very effective. The tension and pacing were great. I like a movie that keeps me guessing (which is rare). Though, once you watch the end, you go back through the movie in your mind and realize the clues that were being dropped.

I had wanted to see this film in theaters, but it never made an appearance in the city I live in. I was thrilled when I saw it as a Hulu exclusive. Shia LaBeouf is solid in this film as John McEnroe, and I really enjoyed Sverrir Gudnason (recently was in Girl in the Spider's Web and underused) as Borg. The movie did a great job at creating tension, and the extended scene of the Wimbledon final was completely enthralling. Overall, this movie was definitely worth the wait.

This has got to be one of my favourite shows. The gradual development of tension throughout the series keeps you wanting to see the next episode and there was never a boring moment. The story follows the main character Joe who is a stalker and takes a liking to a woman called Beck. Beck's character annoyed me and I don't understand why she had no curtains but, I think Joe's character was presented well and I liked that more was revealed about him as the series went on.

Silence is golden
I've heard great things about this after missing at the cinema as the premise didn't really grab me at first. It's a unique, original horror film with barely any dialogue! The creatures do look good but it's the human emotions that rise up in the film that leave a lasting impression. Only down side is it is a bit short with a very simple plot. The ending could have been a little better as well. Overall though a great original horror that scares with built up tension.

Loved it
Once I got past the first few chapters I really got into it. I found it to be a bit of a slow starter due to the constant negative references to Buffy, which I get that there had to be a bit of tension there, but was maybe a bit repetitive. Other than that it was a fantastic read so I pre-ordered the 2nd one which I aim to start soon.

Again, my complaint that Goodreads doesn't allow half-star ratings. Roomhate gets a 4.5/5 stars for me! I absolutely loved the story, from beginning to end. Who doesn't enjoy a relationship where love is forbidden and the sexual tension is thick enough to taste? The ending was beautiful - no ifs, ands, or buts about it. I wanted to immediately unread just so I could re-read it all over again and enjoy the pure sunshine it put into my soul. That's literally how happy the ending made me.
