I didn't get past page one before I hated this novel. The movie was okay, but the book is just terrible. Written in first person, switching between Nick and Norah, I was reminded how pathetic and obnoxious high schoolers can be, especially when they thing they know everything.

I don't even feel like ranting about this novel.

There is a little bit of violence in the movie but it wasn't terrible (0 more)
Great representation of stpry
This movie was child friendly. It was reminiscent of the Beatrix potter tales. The bunnies were adorable and the story was easy to get lost in.

Shockingly bad Horror
A truly awful low budget mess of a film. Terrible acting, dialogue, characters, effects it's all just so amateurish. For some reason every room is lit bright green, red or blue for no apparent reason. One you'll want to turn off after 15 minutes. It's not even worth that much of your time!

The beginning starts off quite exciting and uncovering topics such as ethics and morality which I found to be the most interesting and intriguing parts of the book. (0 more)
Not terrible but once you know the real reason for the study by Dr Shields, I felt there could have been another plot twist or two. (0 more)

Too long, cliche
I really like the idea of the story but disliked the execution. Very cliche, you can guess the outcome once you begin to understand the story. The script is terrible, has anyone ever heard of a non verbal cue?

The relationships were good in the end.

"Ivan the Terrible, Part 1. Sergei M. Eisenstein. Mainly because he shot it during the middle of the second world war, and he had thousands of extras to choose from. It was one of those movies made during, of course, the second world war. Stalin had absolute power, which means that they could literally do anything with this production. Their production was epic on a scale that’s never been seen before because they were using — sort of very freely — prisoners of war for these big scenes. But the end result is the film is an extraordinary interpretation of what Ivan the Terrible, Part 1, is. It’s extraordinary for a myriad of different reasons, but one of those reasons is it was made during the second world war, and you can see aspects of it that we don’t really see about the world at that time. Do you know what I mean? Eisenstein was very cleverly able to mirror Stalin, mirror Hitler, within the confines of that film — disguising it, of course,as Russian folklore to get the movie made. In fact, he probably sold it to Stalin like, “You are as great as Ivan the Terrible was!”Of course he was, but terrible also. It was a great way of being able to reflect the politics, the situation of Europe, the situation of the world at that time within the confines of the film. It’s a great film. Magnificent. His use of individualizing on individual characters is mind blowing. I’m sure every great director has studied it for weeks and weeks, months and months at a time in their lives."

Lizzie Bradshaw witnessed a terrible crime and had to pay the ultimate price. Emma Taylor has a terrible secret that she seems to have hidden even from herself. Stella Taylor, Emma’s teenaged daughter, knows that something is going on with her mum.
This is such a good story with lots of twists and turns. It’s quite sad, really. Even when you think everything is going to be all right, well, it’s not.
I didn’t see the end coming at all!!
Kay writes teenagers really well: how confused they are, and ultimately, vulnerable. Speaking of vulnerability, Emma is a sad character who clearly has a lot of issues.
A very entertaining story.
Thanks to The Pigeonhole for their serialisations of this book, and the publisher Corvus for making it available!

Worst Hero Movie Ever
As a person that loves superhero movies, all I can say about this one is: What were they thinking??!! I had heard it was a disaster to begin with because the actors and actresses couldn't get along. But as for the movie, the only thing that was done right was the origin story. It was based on the Ultimate FF4 universe. Besides that Doctor DOOM was terrible, The Thing was terrible. Jordan's character was like Johnny Storm, but a black Human Torch. Let's at least try and stick with the way the characters look for once. I can't say enough bad things about this movie so I will end it here. One word of advice..DO NOT WATCH THIS MOVIE. Its a big waste of time

Waste of time
You know when a film goes straight to Netflix that it’s going to be potentially ropy, but A.M.I is an all new level of terrible even for Netflix.

The idea of this film, i.e. a phone AI encouraging someone to kill, isn’t a bad one, it has just been so poorly executed that there really isn’t anything to like about this film. The acting is awful, the script is terrible, and the soundtrack is just bizarre and ill fitting with the entire film. The horror aspect is fairly decent but it’s a shame it’s completely bonkers and weirdly ill placed. It’s one of those films that’s so bad it’s probably worth watching out of interest, but you’ll immediately regret it at the end. Absolutely bonkers and not in a good way.
