Good
The book is my least favorite in the series. I actually started with Chamber of Secrets and came back to this one after I finished the first few books.
It's not terrible, and I would recommend it, because it gets better as the book goes on. The characters are likable, even the ones you love to hate.

Eh
This movie was fairly boring. It had a little creep factor but a lot of predictability. The acting wasn't terrible and as it was not big budget the cinematography was done well enough. Though it falls under "horror" there's nothing really scary about it. The main protagonist seemed way too naive for her age. Overall this one is NOT worth a watch.

Fantastic story line and character progression. (0 more)
This book was an endless road of twists and turns. The main character Venus commits a terrible crime at the very beginning and by following her through life you don’t learn exactly what it was or why she did it until she is ready to come to terms with it herself. Fantastic story line and character progression.

I feel like this should have been funnier considering who the leads are. Don't get me wrong, Aniston and Sandler are great together, and there are some truly funny moments, but I wanted to be able to laugh more than I actually did. The actual "murder mystery" was just intriguing enough to keep it going. Overall a bit disappointing, but not terrible.

"Charles Laughton’s brilliant introduction (and also swan song) as a film director, which is a terrible loss for all of us. He fearlessly plunges us into impressionism and surrealism, where few in Hollywood have ever ventured. One can only imagine where he would have gone if he’d continued to direct. With a never-better Robert Mitchum, and a drowned Shelley Winters, yet again."

Cliche and boring
The idea was good but the execution was terrible. Awful filmography, script and the acting was over done. Seemed to be random decisions that lead to life and death.

At one point we were just focused on someone's stomach whilst the main character spoke to him due to the height difference

"This book wowed me and spoke to me so intimately, I knew I had to befriend Sarah Gerard, who is just as powerful, beautiful and bright as I imagined. It's a short road trip book about a starving maniac and her terrible boyfriend that seems to expand beyond the limits of the page and the entire universe. It still echoes in my mind."
