Life behind the video games was a novel idea and executed in typically brilliant fashion by the house of mouse. John c Reilly great as usual and the visuals are typically good with some great nods to childhood video games. Nice concept and well played out

"This film, along with Expresso Bongo, for good or bad, helped shape my life into what it became. At the time I had no idea of the significance of it being filmed in the Brill Building. Suddenly, thanks to Sidney Falco, it was okay to hustle, it was okay to try and find a way out."

" Love Island UK is literally the biggest thing in my life—it’s the best television show of all time. I think British reality television shows are very much a cut above the rest. And if you haven’t seen Come Dine With Me, it’s incredible. There’s also First Dates and Take Me Out. Oh, my God, they’re so good."

"I grew up not understanding racism — I was never around anything that would have led me to that. All of a sudden I went to the premiere of this film and it struck me so hard. It made me brothers with my fellow man more than any other film that I’ve ever seen. It changed my life. The perspective it gave me was incredible. I don’t have a lot of films that changed my life, but that one made me realize we’re all in this together. Michael Pena is a good friend of mine, and this was the first film that put him on the map. He was so good. When the lights went down in that movie, we were taken away. It was unreal."

Good characters
Full of twists and turns
Really enjoyed this book after it was recommended by a friend. As the plot develops, it becomes more believable and the characters start to really come to life. It has become a book I would recommend to anyone wanting to try psychological thrillers.

Minor spoilers....kinda
I was as ambivalent about the book as Ove was about his failures in taking his own life. At least for about 3/4 of the book....at some point I was instead reading with tears streaming down my face.

Realistic not Hollywood style thriller
Luke Smitherd has done another great job in bringing to life characters facing inexplicable terror. Chris, the protagonist, is both humorous and human - making misguided choices based on the little experiences that he had. The man in white is a brilliant villain, odious through his fake good humour and his macabre outlook of life. I really wish we could've found out how and why the man in white chose his victims and not just just how he picked his pawns. Would recommend!
