A hugely entertaining and adorable read
I read this book in the space of a few hours, it was that good. The plot isn't exactly complicated, but its such a heartwarming and adorable love story. Simon is an endearing character and so relatable, and reading his email exchanges with Blue never failed to make me smile. It does well to navigate some of the common issues and features of teenage life, and I love how it also looks into Simon's relationships with his friends, not just with Blue.

Personally I felt the reveal of who Blue is was a little predictable, but that's not to say it wasn't an unwanted ending and the whole book is just ridiculously loveable and sweet.

I love these books. And the second one does not disappoint! The story continues with Sorrowlynn learning to fight so she can go after Golmarr, her love who now hates her.
After some mishaps Sorrow learns that her life has been predicted and she must choose to follow the path. Gaining new friends and enemies this book continues the epic quest.
I adore both Sorrow and Golmarr. They have a love that is tested again and again. Yet they have to learn to get past obsicales together. The story does a great job of keeping you on your toes while making you read super fast to find out what will happen.
highly recommend to anyone who loves dragons, fantasy, and really good plots.

Put this together with a score and a soundtrack for the ages, and you have a film that operates like the best of Hal Ashby or even a filmmaker like Miyazaki. It feels so good, it’s almost like a drug. Also, the Rolling Stones have never been used better in film history, and that’s just one of the movie’s many wonderful marriages of music and cinema. And then there’s Gene Hackman…"

More an attack than a good read
What amazed me about this book which details the life of a great actor is that i always thought that he was one of the most successful and wanted actors in Hollywood. I have seen lots of his films (my two favourites being Once Upon a Time in America and Casino) and to me his acting is outstanding. I rather felt that the writer here spent too much time saying what was bad about the films and concentrating on the negatives. Dont get me wrong i know that de niro had problems off screen and on screen but this felt more like an attack than a biography.
