FOREVER WILDE IN ASTER VALLEY is a crossover from the Marions and the Wildes, giving you a seasonal romance about an introverted only child thrown into a crazy chaotic family situation.
Now, let me say one thing first - I wanted more of Darius and Miller. They seemed to get lost at times amongst all of the others. Saying that!!! Lucy Lennox has managed to perfectly convey all of the differing personalities that come with these two clans.
What I did get of Miller and Darius was superb. I related so much with Miller in so many ways. Maybe that's why I want more, nothing to do with the story itself, just him as a character. Either way, this book gave me laughs and tears, warm fuzzy feelings, and cold hard ones.
Will this put me in the minority if I say I was cheering when Miller let rip with Tilly? Maybe, maybe not. I love her character, but he had valid points, and it made her seem more life-life and not so infallible.
I was convinced this would be a 4-star read even as I got toward the end, but honestly? I can't. Yes, I wanted more, but isn't that a sign of a good book? This is one I read in one sitting, that I thoroughly enjoyed and have no hesitation in recommending. If for no other reason than that, this is a 5-star book for me. I just hope to see Miller and Darius in the future!

After falling into debt with a crime boss, Baby (Ansel Elgort), must pay back what he owes by being the getaway driver for brazen daytime heists. The crime boss, Doc (Kevin Spacey), promises Baby that once the next job is done he will be debt free. Baby does the job and heads home feeling finally free and ready to start doing good things with his life. He meets a beautiful waitress, Debora (Lily James), and plans to drive across the country with her. It may be too good to be true. He soon learns that being debt free may not mean that he gets to walk away from the life of crime. Being an exceptional driver has made him indispensable to Doc. Now Baby has a choice between walking away, which Doc has promised to hurt him and those he cares about if he does, or do one more job, and hope he find a way out of the criminal world and onto the road with Debora.
Writer/Director Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz) does a masterful job of drawing the audience into the story with the soundtrack in a really fun and original way. From the chase scenes to the mundane task of getting coffee, the music immerses the viewer into Baby’s world. The film starts out with an exciting car chase sequence and keeps moving all the way to the end. All of the chase/driving scenes are really well done, which was expected for a movie with driver in the name, but impressive none the less. The pace of the film was consistent and it flowed all the way to the end. Kevin Spacey, Jamie Foxx, John Hamm, Eliza Gonzalez and the rest of the supporting cast did really well and all brought interesting characters to the film.
I loved the originality of the story and how it was executed. This is definitely a soundtrack I will have to listen to again. There were couple loose ends with some of the characters that didn’t get tied up but that was minimal. It is a fun ride and has a little bit of something for everyone. There is a love story, action, a compelling story, and a mixed in comedy that lightens the mood.

After skimming some mixed reviews at Amazon, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed Night Life. I thought that Luna was a great character; she had the perfect blend of good and bad personality traits, without being a complete b!tch or too perfect, as some urban fantasy heroines can be. Of course there will be some who find her b!tchy, but I didn't and she's what I think Chris Marie Green and Kit Whitfield were each trying for with their heroines in their respective books, The Night Babylon series and Benighted. The other characters: Sunny, Dmitri, and Mac all added to the story and were great also, especially Dmitri.
The plot held my interest and moved at a swift pace without too much action or getting too bogged down with details. I cannot wait until the next book comes out to read what happens with Luna next!

Ride With The Cage
Ghost Rider- is one of those movies you love but think its wierd at the same time.
Nicolas Cage- goes over 100% on his acting in this film. He's over nine-thousand.
The plot: Years ago, motorcycle stuntman Johnny Blaze (Nicolas Cage) sold his soul to save the life of a loved one. Now, he transforms into a fiery, avenging agent of justice at night wherever evil roams. As the only one who can walk in both worlds, Johnny is charged by Mephistopheles (Donal Logue) himself to destroy Blackheart (Wes Bentley), a demon that wants to overthrow Mephistopheles and create a worse hell than the one that currently exists.
Their is a 5-10 minute talk between nicolas cage and sam elliot and you cant understand a word there saying.
Ghost rider- is funny, has action, is dumb but overall is a good movie.

In Building and Dwelling: Ethics for the City, Richard Sennett explains what it takes to build a good life through a good environment for individuals and society as a whole, worldwide.
Make no mistake, this is an academic text book and written for students in the same field, so although I personally found it interesting, it was not what I expected and it was quite wordy. However, if this is to be your field of expertise then that’s not going to deter you. In fact this may actually be on your reading list.
Sennett covers subjects such as the ethics of co-creation in cities and how the geography, along with economics, has a sociological effect on city-dwelling on a global level.
Well researched, and for the layman like me it’s full of interesting thought provoking ideas at how we can build and live in our cities of the future.
I’ll admit, I don’t necessarily agree with everything Sennett says, but nevertheless he does what I am sure he set out to do, which was to get me thinking. So for any academics out there reading this, you should get heaps of challenging ideas regarding urban development from what is essentially a student text book.

Troublemaker VS Teacher
Autry Hill is the biggest playboy in town or that is what Beth Cooper always thought. Autry has always been up for a good time with a certain type of girl and Beth has never been that type of girl. When Beth bounces back into his life by locking her purse inside his truck everything changes. Who knew locking your purse in the wrong truck could lead to a skunk, jail and a promise to his father that he would finally settle down. Autry is one trouble maker who is in big trouble with one little good girl. Then all of sudden out of nowhere comes little boy who worms his way into Autry's heart. What are they to do when Dylan foster parents can no longer keep him, Dylan needs a new home; can Beth and Autry work together to give this boy the family they all need or will it be all over because Beth cannot see the man that Autry really is. Can one good little girl be enough to make Autry want to be the man he has always wanted to be?
This is my second Kadie Scott book and I am over the moon for her group of characters that make up the Hill Family books. Her easy writing style and how she weaves her tales make you need a little recovery time after finishing her tales. If you are thinking oh typical western romance you would be way off, Yes, it is a romance based on cowboys and ranching but her story goes beyond the horses and cowboy hats but actually to the characters of her stories so you know who they truly are beyond the story. I recommend this book for anyone looking for a funny, read with romance, laughs and adorable cowboy or two.

A glimmer of hope

After a fleeting visit in Batman vs Superman (bleugh), my hopes weren't high for Wonder Woman.
But as everyone knows, it's actually pretty good.
One of the main problems with BvS is that it felt rushed, like Warner Bros were trying to pack in as much as they could in a short amount of time to establish a far reaching movie universe. Wonder Woman is a perfect example of why they should be concentrating on standalone movies first.
Given a full film to shine, Gal Gadot is a great fit as DCs First Lady. The time devoted to her backstory makes you care for her, and her surrounding team mates.
Gadot, and Chris Pine make a duo worth rooting for.
The story being set in wartime is used to great effect. The scene where Diana steps out into No Man's Land is nothing short of breathtaking. The visuals used throughout are great, and the script is a vast improvement on what we've had so far. There are no silly gimmicks like with Suicide Squad, just a good solid superhero adventure, with a good solid lead.
Wonder Woman falls apart at the final hurdle however. After Danny Huston (who is just sort of there) is set up to be Ares, it is revealed that David Thewlis' character is in fact Ares, and what follows is a climatic battle that is a dodgy CGI overload.
I have no problem with David Thewlis playing Ares, but his little mustache peeking out from underneath his Ares war helmet looks absolutely ridiculous.
But honestly, with the exception of the last 15 minutes, director Patty Jenkins has done a pretty decent job of bringing Wonder Woman to life. It's stands alongside Shazam! in terms of quality, and I'm actually looking forward to the upcoming sequel!
