It won me over!
Earl Stone has a lot of regrets in his life. He was a career man and maybe spent too much time drinking with his buddies. His family hates him as he also was remiss at many family functions throughout his life including his daughter's wedding.

When he is truly down on his luck financially, he hears about a job offer to good to be true. Why not just do some "driving" to earn some extra money? Who cares what the cargo is right? He decides to take the job and then decides having money in his life is too good to pass up. His financial situation improves substantially and he then decides to try and make up for lost time with his family.

Things with his new career become complicated and he even is becoming known to the DEA. He unknowingly evades them several times as his stock among the cartel improves.

I thought the film started slow and for some reason the editing in the first hour really bothered me. It seemed like a bunch of random scenes put together in a random way. Not sure if I can explain why.

The acting and screenplay were sometimes good, sometimes not good. I thought Eastwood the actor was amazing, but Bradley Cooper and Laurence Fishburne just phoned this one in.

The 2nd half of the film was much more interesting and won me over in the end. The fact that Eastwood is almost 90 himself and is still acting and directing is incredible and I salute him wholeheartedly for that.

Finally got round to watching this after hearing many good reviews. A very short series of 6 episodes and only 25 minute long episodes. It follows the life of a 30 year old dealing with life, relationships, family, love, grief and sex. It's very funny with a sharp, witty script. It's similar to @Peep Show - Season 1 in some ways, breaking the 4th wall talking to the viewer. Also similar tone but this time from a female perspective. If you haven't seen it yet check it out!

"What can I say about this movie? One of the more influential films of my childhood, it is a heartbreaking and hilarious tale of a poor young schoolboy who poaches a kestrel as a pet. He has nothing in his life apart from the relationship with his bird. The realism may be the best I’ve witnessed. The lead performance is perfect on every note. I dream of being in a movie this good."

As a double feature with BatB I saw Life, with Ryan Reynolds, spoiler alert, him being on the main bill was really misleading. While it was a passable story line and the actors were good, I predicted the ending and came out not really feeling like I'd seen a whole film. It almost felt like someone had asked for a synopsis of the whole film and they'd made that instead of making the whole script.

Good fun
Introducing completely new gameplay mechanics was brave, but I think they pulled it off. As a huge Pokemon fan I play this game a lot, but the fact certain Pokemon only appear in certain continents is both cool and irritating.
