Philip's adventures as the Devil's apprentice have changed himin a good way. Although he misses his friends in Hell, he has made new friends in life. But when the future of the underworld is threatened once again, Philips help is needed. Death's Die has been stolen and immortality is spreading across the globe. Philip throws himself into the searchand discovers a horrible truth about his own life along the way.
The Die of Death is volume 2 in The Great Devil War-series.
Picking up a few months after the conclusion of the first book, Philip has never done better in his life!
I really liked how the world in the story is expanded.
A fantastic and unpredictable book where anything can happen. We meet all the beloved characters again
Surprising ending that leaves one speculating what will happen next.
Really great book and I can't wait to read the next one.
I received a free copy via the author and this is my own voluntary honest review.

Sarah (7798 KP) rated Moonlight (2016) in Movies

Good story, if a little dull
I’ve always found Oscar winners to be a bit hit and miss, and the majority are never quite as good as the accolades seem to suggest. Sadly for me Moonlight falls into this category.
You can’t fault the acting, everyone in this is truly fantastic. The story itself is fairly unique and the structure of it focusing on the same character at three different times in his life is a smart move. The problem with this film though is that is comes across as a bit dull and boring. While the basic premise is interesting and there are some good scenes, the full story seems to suffer and I’m actually quite glad I didn’t see this at the cinema as I can imagine sitting there quite bored. There is also an unexplained disappearance of a character which is really quite strange, and I find the evolution and development (or lack thereof) of the main character a little disappointing. It’s frustrating when you don’t feel that a character has really changed, especially in a coming of age story.

Until My Last Breath ( Demonic Convergence book 1)
By Sue Allerton
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
She believed their lies
Now she must find the truth
Niah devoted her life to revenge
She was trained, forged into a weapon.
Only to be betrayed
As she accepts the truth
She embraces the Fury ways.
And for the first time,
she learns the meaning of friendship.
Will friendship be enough to change fate?
Or will she become the monster she fears?
This was really good. It was non stop from start to finish with great characters and an interesting story. The whole concept was really good. This is the first time I’ve read this author and it won’t be the last. If you love angels and demons this is definitely worth a read.

Gareth von Kallenbach (977 KP) rated The Book of Life (2014) in Movies
Aug 6, 2019
The Book of Life is an animated film with some big names lending their voices to the characters.
Channing Tatum, Zoe Saldana, Diego Luna, Christina Applegate, Ice Cube, Cheech Marin, Kate del Castillo, and Ron Perlman are all part of the voice cast.
The movie had lots of movement, tons of bright colours, and great music.
The story was good, but I think maybe a bit ‘too much’ for children my sons age (6). He seemed to like it, despite some of the moments that made him uncomfortable or scared.
The tale is of good vs bad and bravado vs true courage and life long friendships.
This movie takes place in long-ago Mexico and revolves around The Day of the Dead. Two boys, one an aspiring bull fighter and guitar player named Manolo (Diego Luna) and one a would-be champion and defender of the town named Joaquin (Channing Tatum), are in love with the same girl, a feisty girl named Maria (Zoe Saldana).
We follow their life paths as the gods above, La Muerta and Xibalba, place wagers on the outcome of the love triangle.
Xibalba cheats in order to win the bet, and the remainder if the film is spent watching Manolo trying to reunite with his true love, Maria.
The movie is fast paced and the music really helps bring it together and help tell the tale.
I would give this movie 3.5 out of 5 stars.
