You would think that by book 14, you would get bored of reading about the same characters but no you won't. Once you open the book, it's like putting on a pair of comfy shoes that might be a bit worn but you always go back to them even if you've bought a new pair! The subject matter of this particular book is unpleasant but, as always, Mr Billingham approaches it with respect and clearly has done his research. Thought-provoking, fast paced and, well, just brilliant. Highly recommended. Thank you to the Publisher and NetGalley for my copy in return for an honest review.

A translated French graphic novel, Clara is a little girl whose life is turned upside down. Told from her point of view, the sense of confusion is real with the reader having to work out what has happened to the little girl's life along with her and that journey tugs on the heart-strings of even the most callous reader. The gift of the doll starts off this confusion, the reader will understand the significance of the gift from an adults perspective but be wrenched by Clara's reaction to it. A good read, a good thought provoking narrative, a story that is likely to stay with you for many years.

I'm very much enjoying how Sweterlitsch combines Sci-Fi and mystery in very engaging thought provoking ways. I've read, watched, and consumed a lot of time travel stories. There are tons of bad ones, but this is an excellent take and surprisingly takes care of a few plot hole problems inherent in time travel stories. As someone who has been trying to write a time travel story for over 8 years, I really appreciate good stories that help to revive my passion for the genre.

I'm really excited to find out what they do with the movie adaptation, and I'm really enjoying Sweterlitsch's work. I look forward to his future projects.

I like this show a lot, but I wish that I hadn't binged it. It's highly thought provoking and if I had taken my time I feel like I might have gotten more out of the experience. Also, I haven't finished all of it yet but season 2 was lacking for me. I liked learning about the different parks, but I think that the hosts (it's been awhile so I can't remember if that's what they're called) being self-aware is kind of overdone in this genre. It just seemed like unnecessary carnage and made me lose interest, at least on the Dolores side of events.

On a family holiday Jeremy takes his son out for the day. His marriage isn't doing too well and he's been having an affair, which triggers a sequence of events when his son finds something unexpected...

Rag Doll is a short story that plays with the reader as much as with the characters, in the same way a cat will play with an unfortunate mouse. This is a quick read but Scarberry uses the format well, in essence providing a sketch of the story and getting the reader to fill in the details.

Hard to say more without giving anything away. But definitely worth a read. Very thought provoking.
