Twisted
A True Masterpiece of Psychological Horror
I am sadly disappointed to see this film so unappreciated as I truly believe it is nothing less of a masterpiece. From the carefully painted scenes to the perfectly executed acting this film holds nothing but love in my heart as it captures the true twisted outlook of today's world, carefully balancing racial ideas that would make many uncomfortable while hiding themes throughout the whole picture that keeps you watching again and again. When this film first came out I went to see it three times unable to get enough of this twisted, psychological thriller. This film is not for the faint of heart or those who get uncomfortable at the mention of racial topics. This is a film for those who enjoy tackling hard topics and are unafraid to face the truly twisted truths of the world.

Chase Day grew up believing that his mother was dead. When he is surprised by a call from her one evening, he rushes to meet her only to find that she has been shot. As if all of that weren’t enough of a shock, his mother asks him to find the father who he has never known. Following along with Chase as he searches for his father and tries to figure out why his family is being targeted was a non-stop adventure. I ran through this fast-paced story in one sitting, and I’m already looking forward to the next thriller from Daryl Wood Gerber.

Daryl Wood Gerber also writes the Cookbook Nook Mystery series and as Avery Aames, the Cheeseshop Mystery series - this is her second stand-alone thriller.

NOTE: I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

Colombian drama (with thriller elements) is strong on visual style and raw cinematic power. Eight child soldiers guard a hostage and a cow in the remote wilderness, but excitable teenagers and high-powered semi-automatic weapons are never an advisable mix, and the relationships within the group begin to deteriorate...

Don't get too hung up on the thriller angle, for while there is a degree of running around with guns and some shooting, this is much stronger on atmosphere and understated characterisation. The film obviously owes a debt to Lord of the Flies (the appearance of a pig's head on a stick at one point is an acknowledgement of this) but the movie is more oblique and less focused than that. Clearly heartfelt, with a striking soundtrack and some breathtaking moments of visual style; a memorable experience even if it's not a particularly comfortable one.

The Broken Bones
The Bone Collector- is a unique mystery thriller that ups the suspense and mystery to 10 fold. You keep on guessing until the very end of the movie, you will be surprised on who it is, that how good the suspense and mystery is.

The plot: Policewoman Amelia Donaghy (Angelina Jolie) is in hot pursuit of a serial murderer whose calling card is a small shard of bone extracted from each of his victims. Unable to decipher the cryptic clues the killer leaves behind at the scene of the crime, Amelia calls upon quadriplegic forensic criminology expert Lincoln Rhyme (Denzel Washington) to help. With Amelia acting as Rhyme's able-bodied go-between, the pair piece together disparate clues, hoping they will learn who the next victim is.

Its a very intresting mystery thriller that will keep you on edge until the very end.
