Kinda interesting
Honestly, I think this would have been a better psychological movie than a horror/thriller movie like they tried to make it be. I thought the premise was interesting and it was well casted. However, I didnt like that I felt like there was information that I didnt have. Maybe that comes from not watching the original. But I felt like there was a lot of stuff that was left unsaid or unexplained. Like for example, in the beginning, courtney tells the group what she saw and what it felt like, but we didnt see that with the others and their experiences were different. Why were they all different? What affected the outcome?

I can't decide if I liked or hated this book - and you can't really review a thriller without giving spoilers - but I thought some parts were predictable (I called one but then it turned out different than I thought) and I called another completely, though it still made for a good book I think 109 chapters in 418 pages was a little much - why all the chapters? I hate that. I didn't much like the side players - Kate was a **insert bad word** and Amy I found to be a bit annoying - I did like the rest though I think the book is made to make you hate people. Overall a decent ride!

Wow...
This movie is on Netflix right now and is INTENSE. Everything about this whole movie was done EXTREMELY well. The story is a rollercoaster ride of emotion and questions. It involves nuclear terrorism and interrogation techniques that lead to torture and begs the question-just how far could and should we go to get the job done to protect millions of people in the fight against terrorism? This movie is not for the faint hearted and is EXTREMELY intense throughout. Not at all for kids, in my opinion. Michael Sheen, Samuel L. Jackson and Carrie-Anne Moss deliver top notch performances in this emotionally driven thriller. Highly recommend it. WORTH A WATCH!

This thriller is completely gripping. Ellie was a golden girl, the apple of her motherÕs eye and only fifteen years old when she disappeared without a trace. Ten years later her mother, Laurel still has unanswered questions when she meets a man who sweeps her off her feet. Then she meets his daughter, the image of her lost Ellie, and Lauren must begin to unravel the mystery of what happened.
JewellÕs drama unfolds quickly and uses a smattering of dramatic irony, so that you figure out the truth before Laurel, making you squirm in your comfy reading spots as you read on. This is a pacy, dark, tense story, totally compelling until the very last word.

A cracking Swedish whodunit/thriller. I have heard great things about the books so thought I would give this a go. The DVD has the option of subtitles or English Audio, I went for the audio as I was a little tired. Thankfully not one of those films where the dubbing appears totally out of sync and distracts you. It takes a little while to get going but the last hour or more is brilliant. Very brutal and violent at times to, but this is up there with the best thrillers around!! Very surprised an English version is being made just next year? Going to be near impossible to better this in any way??

Well done
This low budget thriller was quite the find. It's a very thought provoking, emotionally stirring tale about a teenage boy who starts to realize that his "all american dad" might be a serial killer. The acting was good and the cinematography was decent enough. The story was the shining glory here. It unfolded beautifully and is a wonderful example of how a movie can be EXTREMELY good even without a big Hollywood budget. Everything fell into place perfectly throughout and it even had a bit of a twist at the end. Nothing too gory or flashy in this one but I highly recommend it. Especially if you're into "true crime" style movies. Worth a watch!

I remember watching this at the pictures when it first came out.it is well written some great actors in brad Pitt and Morgon Freeman.
I don't think I've ever watched it again and that's mainly because it really pulled me into the plot the first time. It was a great thriller/ horror and had more than a couple jumpy moments the part with the man in the bed with the air freshners is the only bit in a film that has ever made me scream outload.
This is not an easy watch there are a few times it is uncomfortable and you want to look away but films like that are usually the best films.

The thinking man's Saw :P
If you thought the Saw films were too gory and scary but you liked the idea, then this film is for you!
A group of individuals are invited to participate in a new escape room and quickly find themselves thrown into it without warning. There is a good mix of characters, the commonality between whom soon becomes clear. The puzzles themselves start well but quickly become quite vague and it becomes hard to accept that the people could solve them in the circumstances they are in. Also some of them just don't make any sense, so anyone solving them just seems ridiculous.
An enjoyable thriller with potential for more films.

The Evil Within: Evil Spirit Inside
Diary of a Madman - is a good psychological thriller that started Vincent Price.
The Plot: When Judge Simon Cordier (Vincent Price) goes to see Louis Girot (Harvey Stephens), a prisoner he sentenced to death, the criminal insists he is not guilty and that he is inhabited by an evil spirit. Cordier dismisses Girot's claims, but he becomes unnerved when Girot lights himself on fire to supposedly end the demonic possession. After the visit, Cordier, beset by insomnia, begins to have odd visions and starts to wonder if Girot might have been telling the truth after all.
Its psychologically twisted, horrorfying, terrorfying and overall a good movie.
