Intense true story thriller
I caught a few trailers for this Sky original production a while back and it looked very promising. Based on true events of terrorist attacks in Mumbai in 2008, largely centered around the Taj Hotel.
The film is pretty straightforward in just depicting what happend on the night, although how much of the film is dramatised or true is hard to guess. It mainly seems to follow in line with news coverage at the time. It's interesting to offer an insight into the bravery of the staff and guests there in a shocking situation. Films based on true events can be tricky as you already know the outcome. Still it does well to create tension and build up the characters a little bit.

A gripping read
I love it when you pick up a book that you know nothing about, from an author you've never read before and it turns out to be a fantastic and addictive read.

This is marvellous Victorian thriller set from the points of view of two flawed yet highly interesting characters. The central plot of murder, intrigue and abuse is written very well and is a brilliant page turner. I literally couldn't put this book down. It's not perfect and gets a tad rambly at times with some slightly old school language, but for the most part it's such an entertaining read. And the ending was completely unexpected and such a great twist, I really didnt see it coming.

A thriller with some real chills. Returning to his home town for the first time in 25 years Paul is still haunted by the murder that occurred there in his childhood and with a copycat about he's not the only one finding it hard to forget the town's horrific past.

This is not a tale for the weak-stomached with some truly gory and creepy imagery. It's both well written by Alex North and the audiobook was a great listen (narrated by Hannah Arterton and John Heffernan.)

I did find the ending slightly anti-climatic but I think part of it was the build-up was just so good.

Thanks to Macmillan Audio, the author, and NetGalley for the copy.

I don't think you know what a bad day is!
My first trip to the cinema in 5 months and it was for an enjoyable thriller. The premise sounded a little like @Duel (1971) which is a classic. So I wondered how this would be different. First off Russell Crowe looks a beast of a man in this, very different to how he normally looks. The tone is set right from the start, this is a brutal and violent film. In an age where everyone seems to get angry over the small things it's also relevant. Overall it wasn't too far fetched and very intense until the end. Worth your return to the big screen.
