"I love musicals, and so one that features the Village People AND Bruce Jenner is my kind of movie. Bruce didn’t do much else, but where can you go from there? It’s like the guy who wrote the Bible, where are you going to go? Margaret Mitchell had the good taste to get hit by a car. She knew she could never top Gone with the Wind."

Rushed but thrilling
This is thrilling and a real page turner but it did feel rushed in places. I like the main character and found the use of the term mother quite haunting.

Sometimes the dialogue felt repetitive and was used over the top when building tension.

Having said that, I couldn't put it down and enjoyed the story.

"Not quite sure what to say about this movie other than it’s one of the top five movies ever made. When they touch the ground at the end, it’s like you’ve escaped with them. Never has a movie that gives away its ending in the title been more suspenseful. The spoon slot, the little broom, the handkerchief pulley system . . . Like Fontaine, Bresson is the master. "

"Another classic, more romantic anime. I picked this one because some later episodes take place in New York. I’ve always loved seeing New York depicted in anime. The first one I ever saw was Mad Bull 34 – which is hyper-violent and over the top. Marmalade Boy (as the name suggests) is a much kinder vibe. Also, the basic premise was fairly ahead of its time."
