Good old style shoot 'em thriller
A fairly plain and simple action thriller, with over the top characters. Almost like a comic book adaption with a retro twist. A man on the run gets arrested hoping that will keep him safe. The hitmen on his tail have other ideas.
It's a little slow to getting going but it's not long before the chaos ensues and the bullets flying everywhere. Funny in places and Alexis Louder was impressive in her role. One to switch the brain off to and just enjoy the show.

Totally over the top
Full on Action
A fun full on non stop action film, once it gets going to the main story. From the director of @Hardcore Henry (2016) and it shows as this is is a similar vein. A bit like the John Wick films as a guy goes up against the odds a Russian Gang seek revenge. I like Bob Odenkirk but this is very different to his Saul role in Breaking Bad and the spin off, little hard to see him as a lethal weapon. One for action fans to enjoy.

Season 3 (of, at the moment, 3) of Seth McFarlane's currently-more-Star-Trekky-than-Star-Trek show, with pretty much every episode this season hitting it out of the park.
While still present, the sometimes infantile humour of season 2 (and, in particular, season 1) has been dialled back quite a bit, while the SFX budget has seemingly inversely increased (although, obviously, still not up to motion picture levels!).
As with all good sci-fi, the season also takes in topical considerations through a sci-fi lens: top of my head, I can think of suicide, identity, gender politics, free will ...

Watched yesterday probably the first time I've seen at the cinema that was meant Netflix but for one week only its Been at cinemas cross the country anyway the film going into the sequel could top the orignal knives out yes it does from the many red herrings thruout the film to Daniel Craig's dodgy accent as beniot blanc the only returning cast member from the first movie. There's a twist in the middle of the movie that I didn't see coming which I won't give away and a surprise cameo which I wasn't expecting either overall good movie

Poltergeist is a stone cold classic in so many ways. It has that Spielberg blockbuster shine whilst simultaneously being a scary Tobe Hooper film. It has some absolutely incredible special effects that make way for some of the most memorable moments in horror history. It has a cast of extremely likable characters who you want to see come out on top. It has a wonderful Jerry Goldsmith score.
It's one of those movies that has stuck with me since childhood and still blows me away now. A timeless slice of cinema that will always rank amongst the best of the genre.
