Animal Planet: Animal Bite, Baby Animals by Dorothea Deprisco, Animal Planet is a book about various animal species family life. It talks about live and egg birth, how long babies stay with their parents, what they eat, where they live, how they travel and more.
The photos in this book are vibrant. They are close that you feel as if you can touch the animals.
There are some special sections on that side of the page that that include cool animal facts, simple infographics, and illustrated maps of the Earth and the habitats as well as the short bits on "All Grown Up". The special sections will invite discussion and further investigation. They even have bits on "Just like Humans" where they show how human families interact in some of the various topics.
On the top of the page there are activities, further resources and an extensive Glossary.

Oh how I loved this novel. "Down London Road" was a dark read. It dealt with emotional abuse, physical abuse, self doubts and other dark topics that many authors can't seem to write about (at least not in a realistic manner). I found myself in love with the characters. Cam was an Alpha-dog Asshole, who was a teddy bear when needed. Jo was a strong woman who once she realized she had worth I loved.
I loved seeing the struggle between the characters. I loved that this novel was realistic on the emotional front. We all have the insecurities that Jo felt or that Cam felt. I think that Samantha Young did an amazing job at making us care about the characters in her book.
I didn't think that she could write another novel as spectacular as "On Dublin Street" but I was wrong.

This year I have challenged myself into reading novels that are not the typical novel that I would have picked up. This was one of those novels that I just never really thought I needed to read. The characters are very developed and the main character was very realistic to me. I found myself enthralled by the characters and how it is true to high school friendships.
This book deals with some mature topics and can be a trigger for anyone who has been sexually abused. I thought that this book dealt nicely with the character's faults and his significant life problems. This was nothing like I expected. By the end of the novel I felt kind of numb and on the verge of tears.
I think this is a very powerful novel. I am glad that I gave this book a chance. I would definitely recommend this book.

Incredible debut novel!
An incredible debut novel that has left me staring into the void, processing, after just finishing... After reading an excerpt, I was hooked and every page sucked me in deeper. Theo Faber is a criminal psychotherapist who has felt drawn to Alicia Berenson's case since it began. A new job has provided him with the opportunity to help work towards some sort of breakthrough and he plans to do just that. Alicia, silent after being found with her husband dead at her feet, has been forgotten, no longer front page news, tucked away quietly in a psychiatric facility facing closure. This book touches on so many difficult topics, mental health, love, and betrayal. The author did a fabulous job of building the story and then twisting it in a way I never would have seen coming!? Highly recommended read and will be back for more from this author!
