This app has helped my get to my destinations a lot quicker than other travel apps due to its automatic update software. This allows other users to post live updates of what’s going on around your route allowing the app to automatically update your route to the quickest one allowing a quick and easy drive.
Percy and his friends must travel through the ever changing labyrinth of Daedalus to try to save their camp. The action and use of Greek myth was still fun, but it felt very formulaic after reading the first three in the series.

Downloaded this as a free book to try something different and binged the whole trilogy in 2 days! The story has likeable characters and is fast paced. It is not too fantastical as some time travel books can be and the language wasn't too scientific or technical.

What a fantastic film!
I have waited a few days before reviewing this film, and honestly think it would have been 10/10 if I had reviewed it straightaway.
This is so very nearly the perfect superhero film. There is a massive cast of characters, there is humour, there are niche geek references, there are shocks and twists, there are highs, there are lows and there are tears.
But also (and here comes why 1 mark was lost) ... there is time travel. I have an uncomfortable relationship with time travel. I know you always have to give a bit of artistic license with time travel and not get too hung up on the nitty gritty. But here the plot revolves around the characters changing nothing in the past as it would change the future/make it not happen. And yet they go ahead and do it anyway! We have to go back and put the infinity stones back the instant after they were taken. But they didn't have to with Thor's hammer? And why did they have to do that at all because past-Thanos died which means the Infinity War never happened.
I have never been truly happy with time travel in film, with the notable exception of Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure which somehow nails it. For me, Endgame failed in this regard purely by setting itself rules it then broke and didn't explore the consequences.
But still, an outstanding film and if I can get myself happy with a crude, straight-talking, machine gun-toting space-raccoon and a teenage living tree then I think I can overlook some timey-wimey things.

Whoever has seen then might laugh at this fact. they steal a vehicle from Christopher Lloyd and travel back i time to set time correct.

Lindsay (1760 KP) rated Halley's Casino: The Adventures of Nebula Yorker in Books

Halley’s Casino is a good action and adventure book. It got some historical fiction with science fiction with the time travel. I liked it. It kept you guessing and entertained. I loved the fact that you get to time travel by going back though earth history.
The author does a wonderful job. I like that Nebula Yorker is the problem solver. Is Halley a Comet or is it an Intergalactic Casino? We see what Rome looks like at 12 BCE? Who is Nebula Parents? You find all kinds of surprises and twists along the way. I enjoyed the plot.
Will Neb save earth or will not? It adventures of a lifetime. Find out by reading. This book has a few stories and adventures waiting from beginning to end. Is the world as we see it or his it something we never imagined?

Funny (1 more)
Good Action scenes
Some poor youth Cgi (1 more)
Nothing original
Enjoyable funny Sci-Fi
Yet another Ryan Reynolds Netflix film, they do seem to be churning them out pretty quick lately. This time a time travel Sci-Fi film with some good action and more laughs. Accidentally travelling back to today from 2050 he meets up with himself as a young boy.
Seems to have ideas from quite a few time travel films but the main fun is the humour to be had between the Young and older Adam. It has a decent budget, although the Cgi for a young version of the villian looks more computer game level.
Overall it's a fun film with some touching moments with a fairly straight forward plot. Ryan Reynolds again raising quite a few laughs to put a smile on your face.

David McK (3562 KP) rated Elevation (2024) in Movies
Mar 9, 2025 (Updated Mar 9, 2025)
2024 post-apocalyptic action movie, that comes across as a hybrid of Aliens and (maybe) "A Quiet Place", and that stars Anthony Mackie in a post-Falcon, pre-Captain America (movie) role alongside Morena Baccarin and set in a not-too-distant future where creatures have emerged from underground, have more or less wiped out mankind yet will not - for some unknown reason - ever travel above a certain elevation.
With his son sick and running out of life-saving medicine, Mackie's character Will resolves to travel 'below the line' to the nearest hospital, alongside his now-deceased wife's best friend and the woman whom he blames for said wife's death, in an attempt to procure more medicine and return back home with the same.
Film has a mid-credit scene, that sets up where the sequel (if it comes!) will go!

This is my go to app. I have a lot of family around the world and when you can't travel this helps keep up with family and friends. I can see pics and videos and really feel like I can be there when in reality I'm not. I have watched people from relationships, kids grow up, and all kinds of stuff on here. Love it!!!
