Brothers Old Red and Big Red travel back to Texas to figure out who killed the love of Old Red's life several years before. This is the darkest book in the series so far without quite as much humor. But it was still compelling reading for fans of the series.

So much better than the built in Mapping apps for either Android or IOS. I also really enjoy that other users can post images and info about upcoming wrecks or traffic jams. (0 more)
On the flip side, some users will add stupid comments when posting about traffic which is just a frustrating as the amount of stuff you have to filter past in Facebook, Twitter, etc. (0 more)

I'm currently reading The Dream Daughter by Diane Chamberlain and highly recommend it. It's a page-turner and I can't read it fast enough. I have to block the text on the right side when reading the left because I just wanna know what happens! It"s a thrilling ride through the past and present through time-travel and goes to prove that a mother would do anything for her child.

My daughter loves travelling by plane so I thought I would reserve this one for her at the library. She also loves Maisy so this was a good book to read together. The book goes through all the stages of airplane travel, some of which my daughter remembers so it brought back happy memories. There were a few inconsistencies but those probably won't be recognised by pre-schoolers.

In continuation of the first book, William Laurence and Temeraire will have to deal with the fall out of China finding out that Laurence has stolen Temeraire from Napoleon. They travel to China hoping they can stay together.
Laurence has way more patience then most although his temper is something to behold. the descriptions of the voyage and China are gorgeous in this wonderful alt history fiction.

Eh
This movie with Brad Pitt was rather disappointing. They tried to make it some deep, meaningful story but it just turned out, well, boring. Some interesting ideas about space travel/exploration but other than that there just wasn't much substance. Frankly, I'm not sure how I got through the whole thing. The cinematography was good, the acting was mediocre at best. Overall this one is NOT worth a watch.

"Here we are. Top of the heap. 8 billion people crawling on every piece of earth available. Early humans learned that through cooperation they could, say, travel off our planet and walk on the moon. The question now is, can we survive another millennia? With all of our technology, science, medicine, an ever exploding population, and an unending appetite for a finite amount of earthly resources, will we survive much longer?"

"I have favorite chick flicks and favorite comedies. My taste goes to romantic comedy a lot. Somewhere in Time, with Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour — stop already! That was one of the most romantic stories I’d ever seen in my life; I was in tears, but it also involved a little bit of science fiction, with the time travel element. That one really moved me back in 1980."

Theme works perfectly even if it's a bit distasteful
A great travel card game.
This game is a must when we travel. It plays elegantly two players, and even better with more players making it slightly more chaotic. The whole game is using the cards in your hand to manipulate the line in order to collect the most powerful heads from the guillotine during the french revolution. This game is super easy to teach: Here's your cards, read what they do.... each turn you can play one of them to change the line. After playing your card (or not) you get to collect the next "head" in line.

For something this simple there really shouldn't be as much depth to this game, but it does have some good strategy, and really is a good time. Plus it's quick, we play a game in about 15 minutes.... perfect for having a drink on a balcony overlooking the ocean, and working on the line.
