American Murder: The Family Next Door (2020)
2020 | Crime, Documentary
True crime is seemingly the only thing Netflix gets right the majority of the time. It obvious, from the beginning, who did it. This doc was a little different, utilizing posts and various texts to propel the stories.
To be honest, the mom was super annoying. She's definitely one of those people I would block all her posts on Facebook. It makes me incredibly uncomfortable when people obsessively post their kids online, and other personal business. It's icky. The dude seemed like a ticking time bomb, and half of me can't blame him.
It's stories like these that make me never want to get married or have a long-term partner. I did like that at the end, they posted the stats of murders by partners.

Alison is my favourite historical author - her characters are as close to their true stories as fiction can possibly allow them to be. She can get inside the time period and their heads to take the reader on an emotional and exciting journey. It is the plight of Tudor women she does this with best; and the two books about Anne Boleyn and Lady Jane Grey are my favourites. I have loved devouring her books - easy reads and original twists.
