During the Gilded Age, New York’s high-society shunned the “Nuevo Riche” no matter how much wealth they had. This was true until Alva Smith decided to turn around both her own fortunes and the standing of the Vanderbilt family by marrying their last eligible son, William. Author Therese Anne Fowler tells this story in her latest book “A Well-Behaved Woman,” and you can find my review of this historical fiction novel, on my blog now.

This memoir is the true story of Jessica Fishman, a young Jewish woman from the USA and her experiences when she moved to Israel to start a life there. In this book, Fishman details all the pitfalls of her learning Hebrew, getting into the army, finding a job as a civilian as well as the straw that broke the camel's back and forced her back to America (for a while). Read what I thought of this autobiography in my review here.

It carries on from the first film and links in nicely! You must see the first to appreciate sone of the humour in this dark, but hilarious time- travelling comedy! (1 more)
Quite sad in places too- there’s a real story behind the humour. A dilemma the main protagonist must face when she realises she can get exactly what she wants when she is in control of her destiny!
Not a true horror in my book but I enjoyed it despite that! (0 more)
A time travelling theme with a moral dilemma!
