Cult 90's movie about being different, finding both your true self AND a safe place. Not as good as the story it's based on but what movies are? This got me into reading Clive Barker.

Sad but enjoyable true story of Alan Turing and his team of codebreakers. The film flashes from Turing's present to his past as a schoolboy and his defining moments. Shame he was not treated with the respect and courtesy he deserved.

This is the true story - to the best of Ms. Brenner's ability - of the wars between America’s two chocolate barons: Hershey's and Mars. You can read my full review here https://tcl-bookreviews.com/2014/12/27/the-real-chocolate-wars/

Based on the true story of the Granite Mountain Hotshots, Only The Brave is the heroic story of one unit of local firefighters that through hope, determination, sacrifice, and the drive to protect families, communities, and our country become one of the most elite firefighting teams in the country.

My normal selection of films doesn't generally include "based on a true story" tales, but this year has really seen to that. I probably wouldn't have seen this one if it hadn't been for the fact it coincided with the next Unlimited Screening. So thank god for that.

I really wish I'd read up about the background story before I went... I was not ready for that ending. It was all I could do to not sob out loud in my seat. Heartbreaking

A proper inspirational weepie
Great performances all round based on this amazing true story. A gentle, touching drama that is made all the more special by the fact it is produced by Robin Cavendish's son, Jonathan.
This story truly educates us on how disabled peoples lives where changed and just how much further we could go if people are brave enough.

Amazing end to this incredible story!? I LOVE Tony & Clair... even from book one I found myself just wishing they could find a way and in Convicted, we finally get a happy ending after so much drama and pain. This series ripped my heart out... the connection throughout everything between these two is beautiful. An unbelievable story of true soul mates... HIGHLY recommended!!

"Then in 1987 I read this, which tells the story of Johnson’s affair with Kerouac, and gives a behind the scenes true story of the Beat generation, and more specifically, the women involved with them who are the “minor characters” of the title. I immediately saw what I had missed at the time, and this book continued my feminist education. "
