BookInspector (124 KP) rated Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them: The Original Screenplay in Books
Sep 24, 2020
Let me begin by making a confession, I’ve always been a Harry Potter fan, and all the books are real gifts of God (in this case J.K. Rowling) to me. I personally think that not only children will enjoy this story, but grownups as well, because it has something to offer for both. After reading this delightful book I noticed, that the characters are really strong and very diverse. We have some shy ones, some sassy and sexy ones and also powerful and dominant ones. I really liked this variety of characters as it made the book interesting. This creation has very fast paced and adventurous story going on in there, which I really enjoyed as it didn’t make me bored. It is absolutely true that this story is of magic, friendship, love and good winning against evil. It’s absolutely awesome. As this book is original movie script it is very easy to read it and pages just fly past. Unfortunately, if you saw the movie there is no really need to read it, because it’s exactly the same as the book. However, if you got your hands on the book first, don’t forget to see the film and compare your vision of this book with the movie director’s.
Lindsay (1717 KP) rated The Red Ribbon (True Colors #8) in Books
Oct 3, 2020
If you want to find some crime stories to read. This book can help with the craze. This series also will help with your craze for crime and historical events. This book is called The Red Ribbon. It deals with historical events evolved around clans and the courthouse tragedy in one county.
This story is slow when you begin. Though, it does get better as you read. The plot is more interesting once the action starts. The main characters are a bit interesting. The clans are more telling. Hearing about the story of a father's death and how it connected in the book. It brings out the more about the historical events of the true crimes and what happens at the courthouse that triggers it all.
If you are a historical fiction fan or crime fan this book, is for you. I hope you have the heart to take all the death and crime that takes place. Ava and Jeremiah seem to be pulled into trouble that may have all started with a kiss. But who kiss starts a feud between families and clans? Ava story reporting that starts it when there a rift. What may have brought on a courthouse massacre?

Anne (15117 KP) rated Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murder and the Birth of the FBI in Books
Mar 4, 2022
This book is an interesting look at the Osage murders. This is a version that's adapted for young readers and is more readable and easy to understand and follow. I read both the original book and this version and I prefer this version. This version was more interesting to me and I felt more connected to the story.
The story and look at the Osage people, the murders, and all the history is very intriguing to learn about and know. This tells the story of the true-life murders of the Osage people. This talks about how because of the wealth of the Osage a lot of people wished to control them all due to greed. It's an important part of history that's not discussed or shared about much so it was good to learn about this and it's a great addition to history books.
Reading about this was devastating and it appalled me to learn of the greed and evil people and the horrible treatment of the Osage. This is an enlightening and essential read.
Thanks so much to NetGalley and Random House Children's, Crown Books for Young Readers for letting me read and review this informative and good book. All opinions and thoughts are my own.

Chernobyl is a great watch, especially as it's a true story about a nuclear power plant in Ukraine in the 80s.
Its gripping from the minute you watch start watching it, you can just tell something is going to go wrong and when it does, it's many people pay the price with their lives all because of a very stubborn man and his decisions to carry out test that came be done properly.
Chernobyl the city has to be abandoned straight away and still remains radioactive to this day.
It's not just about the explosion but how so many was affected and the trail when finding out who was to blame.

Good Night Baby Animals teaches us what an animal does in six different stories. Sleep is important for a baby and baby animals. This is true for hamans as well. This book show use though the baby animals what they do during there day.
They explore and what they need to rest as well when the time is right. The author does a good job doing this and showing children and teaching children that sleep and rest is important to all including animals.
The pictures are colorful. They are done wonderfully. They also can tell the story for young children. Parents should have this for their young children to learn about animals and rest.

Dork_knight74 (881 KP) rated The Clovehitch Killer (2018) in Movies

Well done
This low budget thriller was quite the find. It's a very thought provoking, emotionally stirring tale about a teenage boy who starts to realize that his "all american dad" might be a serial killer. The acting was good and the cinematography was decent enough. The story was the shining glory here. It unfolded beautifully and is a wonderful example of how a movie can be EXTREMELY good even without a big Hollywood budget. Everything fell into place perfectly throughout and it even had a bit of a twist at the end. Nothing too gory or flashy in this one but I highly recommend it. Especially if you're into "true crime" style movies. Worth a watch!
