Here we go again. Yet another reboot of a popular movie series surgically removing the charm of the original actors and director. Guillermo Del Toro is a truly visionary director who turns monsters into romantically tragic figures, like a underworld Heathcliff or a mutated Rochester. To review, Hellboy was raised from the bowels of Hell toward the end of World War II by Nazi supporter Grigor Rasputin to turn the tide for the Axis. A squandron of Allied forces closed the portal before more "monsters" could come through, but Professor Broom, a paranormal investigator, adopted the baby Hellboy and raised him to protect the world from other forces of evil. Humans do not trust Hellboy since he was created by Evil and the supernatural beasts cannot trust him because fights for Good. Cast aside, Hellboy must prove himself as a immortal sorceress rebuilds her empire on Earth with Hellboy as the key.

One of 'those' books that's completely transformative - WOW.
I think this book is astoundingly beautiful. The whole concept of writing from the POV of death was inspirational, and worked exceptionally well. It's a heartbreaking read, and I don't often say that about books. Even if you have no interest in reading about the war whatsoever, you'll still get something out of this. Trust me!

A decent action/thriller
An enjoyable action, thriller as a cop dabbles in the murky underworld of Las Vegas to recover drugs to free his son. It's not the most indepth story ever but it has a few twists and turns as people end up not knowing who to trust. The cast is pretty good and it moves along at a quick pace, although it doesn't really standout from many other similar films.

I hate hate hate this movie... And trust me I've seen it enough to be 100% certain of that fact.

I have always hated this movie since the first time I saw it. I just find everything about it so boring and it is way to long, had a cousin who made me watch it 2x a day for like a month so yeah I have some butter feeling about it. Lol.

Courtney is all about putting guys in categories where she thinks they belong. Matt is young and feels like a disappointment to his dad. The story of these two getting together was great. They both have deal with their insecurities and trust issues from their past. I enjoyed this book I lived both of their stories and how they are able to work through it. Can't wait to read the next book in the series

A great movie with great actors. Actors owned their characters. Isn't easy to believe that this is just a movie, and not some medieval documentary. A great story about a very important journey. Be prepared to embark on it with our characters, because it's very long. It has something to laugh about, something to cry about, something to think about. Story about trust, honor, friendship and love with a lot of fighting scenes.

Felt as if it could have been a glimpse into real people living in East Berlin (0 more)
Story wraps up nicely at the end but it ends abruptly. (0 more)
Realistic, historical fiction YA about living in East Berlin in the early 1980s
I was provided with a complimentary copy of this book so I could give an honest review.

Lena Altmann is a 17 year old girl who lives in East Berlin. After her parents were killed in an explosion, Lena was forced to move in with her aunt. Lena's only respite comes when she spends her Sundays with her uncle, her aunt's brother. One day he is erased. He along with all of his possessions, and his birth records are gone. His published books have disappeared from bookstore shelves. He is just gone, disappearing without a trace.

Lena frantically searches for him but knows government spies are everywhere and she feels alone. Her aunt is a hardcore member of the Communist party. Can she trust her? Can she trust her friends? Can she trust anyone?

Through her story, Michelle Barker shows what it was like to live in the "Better Berlin" in the 1980s. She shows the rigidness, fearfulness, suspicion, and oppression of life in East Berlin.

The House of One Thousand Eyes did not feel like fiction. You could feel and hear Berlin. You could believe Lena, her uncle, and her aunt were real people and this book just captured a portion of their lives.

Although the story wraps up nicely at the end, it ends abruptly.

I was introduced to this movie at a fairly young age and it's been a staple in my home since my first time. I absolutely love this movie and can't recommend it to enough people. This is one where if you tell me you don't like it, I can no longer trust your judgment in movies.

I can't say enough good things about this movie.

This show had well developed characters who each had there own back story which really impressed me as it's something I feel only the best shows manage to do. This is one for people who prefer gore and/or superheroes.
I can't say much more without giving a way the plot but it's a series constantly full of surprises and trust me you will be surprised!!
