I enjoyed this.

I found it easy to read and the plot was interesting. The sub-plot of realising she was falling in love with her best friend was an added bonus.

Never in a million years would I have guessed who the bad guy was, it was definitely a mystery trying to figure it out and the chapters from his POV were chilling at times. His lack of feeling for what he was about to do and the pleasure he got from getting the girls to trust him. *shivers*

As for Jay and Violet, they were likable though Violet was a bit blind when it came to Jay's feelings. I'm sorry, Vi, but it was obvious from early on that he cared about you in more than a friendly manner.

Unfortunately I could not 'get into' this book. The flow of the writing, the character set-ups and the overall voice of the book was unorganized, unbelievable and, in my opinion, lacking in experience. It felt like the author was excited, rushed almost, to write the book. The characters were hastily pushed into emotions and situations that they were not 'lead' into. Trust is earned, even in books, not just given inexplicably to a stranger you just met, for example. Even with that said, I did love the premise of the book. The 'cure' is so wonderful that you just wish it were a work of non-fiction. I am grateful that I was able to read this book, even if it is not one of my favorites, it is thought provoking and inspiring.

This story is about a girls holiday gone wrong, very wrong.

I really enjoyed this book, I wasnt really expecting the whole plot to be about the lie and was surprised by this. I think it made it much better. I really hope that this hasnt happened in real life - what an absolute nightmare

The characters were interesting and believable. Some of the people at the retreat could have been better embellished to make them more creepier.

I enjoyed the two different time frames throughout and was hungry to read more about the events that led to the lie. At one point I felt the present day story was exceeding the historical account but this thought soon disappeared and it levelled out.
