A Brilliant Read
Aside from the romance and the fairly surprising twist this book is a brilliantly written historical fiction based around real life events, the main characters are interesting and the action is fantastically written, this is a book I have read several times and is still very much a page turner for me.

This story is published by Disney and has the Disney feel. I loved the contrasting between hearing about Belle's parents and how everything came to be. It really completes the story. I can't recommend this book more for anyone who loves a classic with a twist. On that note I think I may reread it just for a feel good book!

Entertainment Editor (1988 KP) rated Pandemic Iberia in Tabletop Games
Mar 8, 2018
Pandemic Iberia is the best base version of Pandemic available on the market (for as long as it lasts). It’s well worth a play if you’re a Pandemic fan, and possibly even a buy if you’re a completionist or just want to see a new twist on the old formula.

A Great 'Escape'
Meltzer opens the novel with an interesting twist, and the turns and twists keep coming. He is able to write an intriguing thriller and keep us interested in the characters as well. This novel sold so many copies that in its third week after the release, Amazon ran out of copies.

Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2332 KP) rated Twice As Dead (An Odelia Grey Mystery, #6) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
Odelia Grey is attending a wedding when she finds the wedding coordinator, Shirley Pearson dead. Only it turns out that she is really a he named Doug. And that's just the opening twist in this fun mystery with great characters and a fast moving plot. I couldn't put it down.

Akward (448 KP) rated Boss Monster: The Dungeon Building Card Game in Tabletop Games
May 29, 2018
Wasted Potential
The idea behind Boss Monster is so great. You are a monster, attempting to build a dungeon to lure in heroes and slay them. It's a twist on the standard dungeon-crawling game.
But the mechanics of Boss Monster completely ruin it. The game is too deterministic, and you will find yourself getting bored after a few playthroughs.

This was an amazing First Reads Win to receive!!! Diane Chamberlain weaves a wonderful story that felt so alive with a twist of real history. There were so many times I was angry with Henry and hopeful for Tess. I would 100% recommend this book to anyone and everyone that cannot wait to sink their teeth into a great story.

Gisell Middleton (189 KP) rated Anatomy of a Scandal in Books
Jul 12, 2018
This debut is slow and somewhat predictable. The only “twist” takes place halfway through the novel and doesn’t really make up for the sluggish pace of the story. It delves somewhat superficially into the lives and thoughts of the characters but not enough to really make us invested in them. It is not a bad novel but I had hoped for better.

Great read
I usually struggle with reading Stephen king, maybe because they're always very paranormal. But I loved this, kind of a cross with a detective book with a paranormal twist. Which was perfect for me. I couldn't put it down, but limited myself each day so I could appreciate what I was reading a bit more.
Definitely worth a read.
